No, but while the left stick is used about 90% of the time in almost every game, the right one is used significantly less in many genres. Overall, the asymmetrical stick placement is therefore more comfortable and ergonomicIs your thumb in a different position on one of your hands?![]()
We could argue about stick placment for hours and ergonomics. No, but while the left stick is used about 90% of the time in almost every game, the right one is used significantly less in many genres. Overall, the asymmetrical stick placement is therefore more comfortable and ergonomic

Edit: I messed up here. That design is just good for games that frequently use both analog sticks. We could argue about stick placment for hours and ergonomics.
There is also this stick placment fvi

And it has a myth it's superior to both PS and Xbox style stick placment.
You would be surprised as to how little of the 3rd party market bothers with symmetrical joysticks everybody and their mother just want to release Xbox controller clones.Symmetrical Sticks?

I like all stick placements. Controllers are my jam lately. You're right, I probably shouldn't have called it asymmetric. What really matters is the placement of the left stick, and here it's positioned correctly. Depending on the genre, this layout can actually be better, especially for 2D games where you rarely need the right stick. But for many 3D games, the Xbox layout is usually preferable. Either way, in total both are better than having both sticks placed at the bottom.
I'm 95% m+kb and 5% more than happy with my 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.I like all stick placements. Controllers are my jam lately.
There's a lot of stuff to choose from.
Symmetrical controllers where in dire rate of improvments so I'm happy we get a new release.
Better not, that would 100% be a console warrior shitshow. The topic is vast. So I won't get into stick placement right now.
Maybe in the near future as there will be an OT sooner rather than later for that.
I have two of them. One with the Nintendo layout I use for Switch 2 and one with the Xbox layout I use for PC. I think they're amazing, especially for the price.Does anyone have the 8bitDo Ultimate 2? Are they any good?
