Just remembered this absolute banger of a Boss Track

This game sold the megadrive to me back in the day. I still have the old issue of CVG reviewing it. Peak late 80s/ early 90s 16- bit sis scrolling action game stuff. I your post made me load up my copy of ultimate megadrive collection. Something about them old sega soundtracks that just slaps! 😎

Some of you retro crew will enjoy this new vidcast from the great State of the Arc guys who are covering the music from each FF era, starting with NES.

The Bomberman Hero OST is some acid jungle DnB.

Garage style (UK)

More DnB goodness

Funami FM GTA2 Acid electric DnB

This one is for all the technical fighting game players among you. We watch each frame and react with precision and complexity….. and it’s even better when we face eachother. Remember the days when you fight a goid player and your heart beats a lil bit faster? All that practice on the console version then you come arcades and flex your muscle? Remover them days ? This one is for you if you do. Remember the Rush? Seeing VF2 in all its glorious motion…. Looking like something that would be impossible on a console….. but sega always found a way. Gotta love them.

I still need sega rally one and two in a yakuza game or something! 😫

Sometimes, just now and again, something in life will surprise me.

You sir, I never had you down as a man of culture.

VF2 is an amazing game and that’s the 2nd best tune on it. Wonderful stuff 👌

To this day, I'm still in awe of the magic Uematsu put into FFVII's soundtrack. Absolutely mindblowing compositions even today. Its like, you could catch the undertones and connect with the mood of any given scene in the game through them. Each track paints a specific picture.

Narrative music such as this doesn't happen as often nowadays imo.

I thought this would be a good post for this thread.

The Roland JV1080 was like a holy grail sound module back in the day. I actually had one hooked up to my MPC2000xl and my S950 back in the days.

Never realised how many games it has been used on though….. it’s the sound of the 90s!
