Ya but I'd imagine after waiting ten years your excitement level would still be about where it is today....Maybe if this was announced like a decade ago I'd be more hyped for this but not in today's climate.
Unfortunately, this is a given. Those character designs kicked up a fuss even back then.Better not nerf them waifus.
No it wouldn't. Waiting 10 years after the show left I'd be still be excited to see how the visuals would be upgraded.Ya but I'd imagine after waiting ten years your excitement level would still be about where it is today....

Today I'd be wondering if they are going to race or gender swap characters, if characters are now lgbtq, if they are going to add in characters for diversity, and if the current issues of today will be somehow be put in to the series. That is a completely different feeling of, to oh, this series that I loved as a child is coming back I wonder how it will look now.
I honestly read it several times cause I couldn't quite understand where you were going with your reply so I took it as you being seriousI think you missed the joke homie but admittedly it would've taken more than a cursory glance to get it.
They have the original voice actors which is a huge deal. Plus with today's technology we should get more fleshed out action scenes. Hoping they really nail this. They have 2 years.Smells like nostalgia bait. Beyond that I don't have faith in this because of Marvel's track record with animated series/movies.
Not holding my breath on this. Could be good but with Marvel's handling of animation series, not really forward to thisThey have the original voice actors which is a huge deal. I see. Thank you!Only way I can see Spectacular continuing is if there's a full transfer of rights for the previous two seasons and future seasons from Sony to Disney. Disney has no reason or incentive to make or revive Spectacular when they can do something new or revive TAS if they wanted to.
Sony didn't give up the merch rights. They had a 50/50 JV with Marvel, Marvel sued and got the JV to be 75/25. Disney bought the remaining 25% from Sony in 2011. The merch rights have nothing to do with the animated TV rights though as that was a vis-a-vis trade with Marvel for more flexibility with the movies. That was done in 2009, prior to the acquisition by Disney.
Animated and under 44 minutes including intro and credits. There are some other limits (i.e. can't use the iteration that is copyrighted by Sony (the movie ones)). Live Action is more complicated, but it's mostly with Sony.
Given who the showrunner is I wouldn't be surprised.
Actually they are only consulting. Head writer seems to be a guy from Netflix Witcher series.I don’t care about the actors or animation. I just want good writing. The fact that it is the original creators running this gives me hope.
Who asked for this? I know a lot of kids grew up with this show but what X-men fan want new episodes of an 30 year old (and lets be honest here, not exactly top quality) syndicated cartoon? Rather than a new one?
Also does this mean the lawsuit surrounding the opening theme has been settled? or are they going to make a new one?

And Professor X better be played by a bald man. You’re going to just give that part away to another bushy-headed white man when the voice acting industry is full of perfectly bald men?X-Men ‘97: Original Jubilee Alyson Court Confirms She Will Not Reprise Role, Wants Asian Voice Actress To Replace Her

If this post is too political then I apologize and the mods can delete it.
Anyways I'm not feeling too good about this revived show's chances right now. This is the new writer they have for the added episodes.
