Yeah supposedly they have to get in line at the other entrance and they're only permitted to buy what they can carry to prevent panic shopping.

Seems like a reasonable rule to me unless you're trying to be a hero and buy bottled water or something (which I imagine people need right now).

Out of all the covid lines I've waited at (including manning up and waiting in giant Costco lines that wrap around the side of the fucking building) I have never seen an argument about standing in line. And some of these have been when it's cold outside.

they really need to get this more or less fixed by tomorrow. With temps warming and power and water still being out.... food starting to dwindle a bit, gas starting to be out at pumps.... things are going to get a little weird....

It's relative and if the area is often colder, then buildings and infrastructure and personal prep for cold will support it. Desptite British winters getting into -0 C temperatures the homes are designed for that. +8c in the south of China feels worse to me becuse there's no heating or insulation in the homes.
