Ah, just what I've come to expect from cyanide and happiness. Awful pun followed by so-called "irony" which does nothing to bring the comic into a realm that would make it something approximating funny. Well, at least it's not stupid innuendo or forced dick jokes again. I was under the impression that those were the only two types of bad jokes they knew how to make. They've sure shown me.

There were some people shortening it to post it in response to other peoples puns, but there were other people just "correcting" the comic because it's the cool thing to do to VGCats (is that the name of it?) comics.

Without the pregnant pause in the fourth panel, the significance of what was said in the third panel would be lost. I certainly didn't immediately notice the pun until the structure suggested I take a second look.

It might seem "more succinct" by removing some panels if you already know what's coming, but the first time reading it through, greater attention needs to be directed at the actual pun being made.
