On my PC, I've currently got Visual Studio .NET 2002.

I just recieved my free copy of 2003 in the mail today, but it's a slightly different package with less features. Should I uninstall 2002 first, or can I update over it without problem?

Also, I've got a few SDKs for things that work with .NET. Should I uninstall them before I upgrade, or won't there be a problem?

You can have them both installed simultaneously, it won't hurt anything. Though supposedly MS is recommending you remove 2k2 before installing 2k5 beta (or when it comes out).

Well it's either that or uninstall it. There's no other choice. It doesn't replace 2k2, it installs seperately. So I guess the answer is, yes, it installs cleanly, but it won't replace it.

So if for some reason you don't want both (and actually I wouldn't be so quick to say you don't -- if you code in C++, there's a good chance your code won't compile off the bat with 2k3), you will have to uninstall the older version.
