A CLASS DIVIDED - 5 VIDEOS
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/divided/etc/view.html

This is one of the most requested programs in FRONTLINE's history. It is about an Iowa schoolteacher who, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered in 1968, gave her third-grade students a first-hand experience in the meaning of discrimination. This is the story of what she taught the children, and the impact that lesson had on their lives.

'A Class Divided' is such an interesting study. It was done back in 1970 by an Iowa 3rd Grade Teacher to show her class that discrimination is a horrible thing.

It starts with her asking her kids who we look down on in society and they all answer with 'blacks, Indians, etc..'.
She then divides the class between the kids with blue eyes and the kids with brown eyes and forces them to believe that the people with Brown eyes are inferior in every way.

It's amazing HOW FAST these kids start discriminating against the brown eyed kids. The next day she comes back and switches the roles.
The brown eyed kids did a flash card test the first day in 5 and a half minutes.
The next day, feeling superior because of the role reversal, they did it in 2 and half minutes.

Just watch. It's so VERY interesting. The drill was done with adults almost 20 years later with the same effect. I feel that there's way too much discrimination on these boards. Liberals looking down on Conservatives, etc...

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
poor conservatives... how laughable

the liberals hate the conservatives and vice versa... big deal. They all like to argue more than anything else.

Actually, I had a teacher that did this. We received extra time for breaks, got to leave for the bathroom whenever we had to go, could sharpen our pencils at any time, and were given candy. The kids with the blonde hair (we did hair) were only allowed to sit in the back of the class and couldn't talk at all. It was even more powerful of a message in person.

How about we try that experiment on the gaming forum?

No discussion is allowed to be held on any console available, from the factory, in indigo.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated

Kids don't exactly need much motivation to treat other kids like shit, but the fact that similar tests had approximately the same results with adults IS scary...
