Really nice compilation. We also have FAST RMX in March for Switch (possibly a launch title, still unclear). It's a semi sequel to the Wii U's FAST Racing Neo which was a brilliant futuristic racer. It looks stunning and is being developed by only 5 people.

February is pretty insane. Like we already got Bleed 2, Splasher, and Induction this week, and then Hollow Knight, Night in the Woods, Stories Untold, Torment, and Desync still to come?

Side note: seriously, if you like games about messing with time, and clever tricky puzzlers, check out Induction. It explores the concept of time loops as a game mechanic more comprehensively than any other game I've played

Amazing thread, thank you for this. I've been playing more and more indie games as the years go by.

Hollow Knight and Battle Chasers are standouts to me. I don't know much about the latter, but that's the kind of artstyle I can get behind for a JRPG. The giant mech dude sold me. Hopefully it turns out ot be a genuinely good game.

Hollow Knight looks fantastic. Just preordered it on Humble.

Probably sound like a broken record here, but I'm currently playing it so it's fresh in my mind. First great puzzle game of the year IMO is Induction. Not only does it have some really clever time loop-based mechanics, but you learn through playing and experimenting and good level design. It's the kind of puzzle game where you need to replay a level a few times to make sure you understand what you did and why it worked

She Remembered Caterpillars is also a solid puzzler that released last month
