The game has been delayed by a week because they are changing the cover due to the Tim Paine situation.
Wonder if they are patching out some of the sms stuff in career mode

You literally hit the ball back to the bowler which you yourself claim was an easy ball... Son, you have no right judging what's considered a sport or not lmao.Ah, cricket. I remember the first time I was forced to endure that so-called sport.
10 years old in the late 1980s, at a boarding school. Was told to sit on a bench with a bunch of other boys, shut up, and watch.
2 damn hours later, I get to have a go in bat.
The teacher bowls me an easy ball. I hit it, the teacher catches it, declares I'm out, and tells me to go sit back down.
Nice.

That's like a cherry on top of a cherry. She might be a Man United fan, which is a deal-breaker for me.
It's hard to believe that there hasn't been an official Cricket title since Big Ant Studios' Cricket 19, especially given how popular the sport is (though given recent events over the years, it's understandable). Thankfully, the wait for a proper follow-up is now over. Cricket 22: The Official Game of the Ashes is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5 with the Nintendo Switch version slated to release in January 2022.
Quite a lot has changed over the series' last big outing in terms of mechanics, features and modes but there's also plenty familiar for fans of the sport. Let's take a look at 10 things you should know before buying the game.
I haven't got it yet. I like to wait until a few patches have been released before getting the cricket games. What's your take on it mate?

I have been watching people play it on YT though, and it looks good. Even bowling looks like it's more fun this time around.
They are full tests/series with saving & resuming. It auto saves at the end of each over. You can skip certain things to speed the game up but you can play it like a proper full length game of cricket. You can be on the ground for hours and hours as a fielder if that's what you want to do.mate late follow-up but can u tell me, can u actually play 5-test series, with like full 5 day games of hundreds of overs, in these games? with like, mid-test saves/resumes, etc? or is it like fifa with shortened games? and do they simulate things like deterioration, swing, the ball roughing, and stuff?
i guess i'd just play all the bowlers and batsmen lolThey are full tests/series with saving & resuming. It auto saves at the end of each over. I don't think the ball and pitch don't deteriorate though. If they do, I never noticed any difference in the previous games.
i can totally get that... i'd be the all rounder legspinner australia need after lyon retires...I normally play career mode where you are just the 1 player. It's fun trying to go from grade cricket to the national team.
There's what, India and Pakistan? No IPL or licensed asian teams? Gtfo
Sri Lanka? Bangladesh? I'm surprised TBH that IPL doesn't have its own game already. There's what, India and Pakistan?
And the IPL would charge a fortune for licensing, for a game that isn't going to sell a lot. And the increase in Indian (probably not Pakistani if they include India, lol) buyers would be small as most Indians are too poor and many others very stingy with money.
India fucked itself over here. Better off without them.
Bangladesh is even poorer, and Sri Lanka is a tiny market.Sri Lanka? Bangladesh? I'm surprised TBH that IPL doesn't have its own game already.
Ahh shit haha my badWrong cricket thread, although that would be a nice addition to the game.
You worked on Brian Lara 2005 ? Funny coincidence, i was cleaning a cupboard the other day and found my PC copy of it. Was even thinking of installing it again …Brian Lara Cricket 2005 was a title I worked on, very fun project. I think at that time we had the better game out ours and our competitor. We didn't have the licences of course but that just meant we could have a bit of fun with a few things. One of the best compliments I heard about our title was that it was the "Pro-Evo" of Cricket games ...which back then was a blessing rather than a curse
I'm surprised the Cricket game genre has quietened down in recent years.
