Just today? lol
Yep.
More like: the internet is weird, every goddamn day.
People on the internet, that is, for the most part...
Just today? lol
You don't think people should wait until they are more mature before making life changing decisions? Are these wizard parents? I am against wizard parents changing the gender of their children, too!
The Nationals bullpen pitched well. Hell froze over. Expect the unexpected.
So let me say it in a positive way: You seem to have a talent for sketching. How about using it in a productive way?
Do you have 6 nipples? Cuz that guy has 6 nipples.am i the fat smiling guy?
Do you have 6 nipples? Cuz that guy has 6 nipples.
Probably, but do you want to drink that oily venom? Can we milk him?
Only one way to find out.Can we milk him?
I thought they were skittles. guess its not me thenDo you have 6 nipples? Cuz that guy has 6 nipples.
No need to apologize Yoshi. Unbeknownst to you i have interpreted amany of your posts aswell as something more negative than it apparently is. As always, texts don't full envocate what a person thinks and feels and emoji's can be seen as cheap and yet still not showcasing what you mean.I have yet to read the rest of the topic, but I have read the original post to which I am responding with this posting:
I feel it was not good form of me to give a mocking comment in the report-button thread, after having been told by you in a previous encounter that you misunderstood a milder joking comment of mine as an attack. I should have been more careful in observing your wish for banter. It is unfortunate that I have given you reason to feel incomfortable because it is pretty important to me to treat people in a way they feel respected. The other issue with my posting was, that it was more or less a drive-by. I saw the thread, your op, thought "let's tease him a bit about his nicknames where they fit in an ironic way" and did not make the effort to read through the thread to gather the tone and your expressed feelings up to that point. Please be aware that I did not intend to ridicule you.
Well, not so much a sour grape, but i can understand the analogy you are going with. In part, i think it would be interesting, not for you, but for everyone else that i link Musky_Cheese 's thread on well.. thread standards. I think that serves as a nice meta-topic from this one and Ailynn's one. Thank you for your commentary, by the way. That's fair enough. I think it's great to aspire to be a better person, or at least the person you want to be. Even if it is on a gaming forum. Heck, that may even be a perfect place for it, as it is a platform that allows you to experiment and mess up. I don't know that you've been a sour grape to be honest. I'll take your word for it.
I have to cut this short as to not make this novelle length again (Although it very much might be at this point) but i empathize with your situation (Whether you want that or not, i cannot say. I am just saying). Misinterpretation in communication is a very nasty flaw in our daily habits as humans. Not because of the misinterpretation itself, but because we act upon it instead of making sure that what was relayed was said in the proper intent. As such, i am sorry that in your situation, the people misinterpreting you acted upon it and as such created something you never wished for in the first place. While I'm not exactly hiding my identity here, I'm not advertising it either. So you'll have to excuse me for being a little vague. But basically, I upset some people with a lot of influence and not a lot of responsibility in wielding that influence. They misinterpreted something I said as a threat. I was maybe posturing a little, and that's on me, but it was never intended to be a threat, much less one in the manner which they took it.
Thanks for the take. And perhaps it is indeed that (Too much self-reflection). Perhaps i am just making up for the lack of introspection. . I like your analogy atleast of a bar, and if you were to depict a quick summary to someone, this would fit really well. So thank you for this.Redneckerz , my advice is to imagine that we are all sitting at a very long bar. Or, maybe like the one in the TV show "Cheers". We have our funny bits, where @matt404au knows the lyrics to the theme song for "Bonanza". We have our little bits of drama, also, sprinkled throughout. While I'm over here scratching my head over Antoon , at the other end of the bar, @DunDunDunpachi is finding out his life is going through a major change. Look who came in" Cunth " !!!!! we all yell. Then he says something and gets all the likes.
Right now, people who live next door to you are laughing, or crying or screaming. Who knows? Anger and aggression come from within, I figure. Your novel of a post reeks of too much self reflection. Enjoy!
To be fair, i have seen and been in places, both online and offline that far more fit the nature of an oasis of tolerance than what you are describing here. I mean, if you were part of OldGAF, then i can understand, and it says a lot about the effort made since that transparency has seen a lot of improvements since then, that much is obviously true.If anyone can't handle Neogaf in it's current form might I suggest stepping away from the internet all together? Neogaf as it stands right now is like an oasis of tolerance. I'm as shocked as anyone by that statement. Tolerance means putting up with people you disagree with in a peaceful manner. We are doing that for the most part.
Slow clap gaf, slow cap. I never thought i'd see the day.
I understand that you say this Kbear, especially since you have said it numerous times before. But i am rather more interested in your opinion on the points discussed. Its fine if you call me strange, just as i find it strange that your only personal communcations to me are telling me that i am strange. That is not really productive, and i don't think it entertains you either......
Such a strange dude
If its by Murakami (Edit: It is), then i will pick it up the next time. My library has a lot of Murakami work so it should be there. I am near finishing the novel and i can safely say its really a captivating tale, half fictional, but definitely occuring the real world. I like how Murakami makes every day things sound extraordinary, even though the main protagonist, Tsukuru, is someone you could translate in real life as akin to having someone with autistic tendencies. I don't want to spoil too much for those who want to read this, But Tsukuru is definitely a Japanese Joe Sixpack, yet, with his own unique set of thoughts, impressions and experiences.Redneckerz I don't really know what went down here because I never come to this section of the forum but yeah that's definitely a good book. The Wind-up Bird Chronicle is very similar and I'd like to suggest it to you if you haven't read it already. I know @Noboru Wataya agrees.
Also Ailynn is one of my favourite posters here. Just very pleasant
Antoon, as interesting as it is seeing a drawn summary of the Ailynn thread, id like to stress that this thread is not about her. Nor is it about the politics section completely. Its in general.Drawings.
If its fine if opinion and different views get attacked I also do it all the time. But it should never go t a personal level like this drawing here. To me if you go for personal attacks you have lost any argument you had before.Look at the end of the day it's the politics side of the forum.
I'm fairly new here and I know what those sections are like on forums in general.
That thread was a bit of a dumpster fire but at the end of the day people were saying what they felt.
You may not like their opinion but it is real life and this is what people in all circles of life are saying in real life.
The point is, politics are literally about heated debates and I can understand that if it's a topic that hits home hard for you it can be stressful.
If you're finding it stressful then it's time to step away for a while just like I would say if you're stressed doing any task.
However it being called the "politics" section should be warning enough that the conversation is gonna be intense and insulting for you.

Before Colorless Tsukuru, i wanted to read his more known novel Kafka on the Shore, but since i am not a roman fan nor had read Murakami before, i decided on settling with Tsukuru. Now that i have read Colorless, i am more inclined to read these books, or at the very least, read Pewdiepie's book list, of which there is a Goodreads link here. Regardless of what you think of Pewds, the books he reads are well worth a check out.
Little side post, but there is Norwegian Wood in my library aswell. I am not sure if it was Kafka or Norwegian Wood that were far larger in volume than Colorless Tsukuru, but ill go with Kafka first then. I have added your recommendation on my list however, so i will inevitably check it out. Thank you for the recommendation. It's one of his longer books so I might hold off. Go for Kafka first.
Murakami's main characters always have autistic tendencies. Living in their own world; isolated from society; fascinated with little things (although often aloof).
At the very least, talking like Anita Sarkeesian should get you a spanking.Garbage human being. Rather this place get rid of you instead of Ailynn.
And if this grants me a ban - so it be.
Good vibes, good memes and good conversations. That's what GAF is all about.
Gaf has a nice laidback attitude. That makes it more relaxing and fun. I enjoy you degenerative shitposting fuckers a lot.
((Is that statement Jewish?))((Guys! Hey everyone! It's all good! I promise - I'm still here, and I actually thought the comic was funny. I'm working on one of my own in response, but it'll be light-hearted I swear! Love you all!))

Yea aren't some people here on record suggesting people with higher IQ points are superior human beings to people with lower?Given their legacy of duplicitous statements, hypocrisy and partisanship, I take what they say at face value.
My point stands and anyone capable of critical thinking and who has had exposure to this user's dishonest commentary knows why.
I think at this point, as i used Ailynn as an example, the thread became more an extension of that than the point i tried to focus it upon.i already forgot whats this thread about again
Just please make it your own thing, and not because others or this thread indirectly led you to making it. Happy days miss.I was trying to imitate whispering, but maybe I did it wrong?
Anyway, I shall return! I'll write later in response when possible!
This is a way better TLDR than i ever could have made. Very apt, Rylix. Thank you.Discussion is good. People aren't always going to agree, and that is fine. The "comic" above is repulsive and should not be allowed. Personal attacks are inappropriate. While over-moderation is a serious concern, this is a pretty basic line that should not be crossed. Ailynn seems like a valuable member of this community and should be able to come here without personal attacks (as we all should be able to.)
But I want to see Ailynn 's rendition of me, which could prove problematic in NeoGAF merch .Maybe Antoon and Ailynn should save some art for the design contest...
