everytime I see one of these seattle music threads I beg you fuckers to go see charlie hunter when he comes to town. True to form he will be there august 15th HERE with his side project Garage A Trois featuring Stanton Moore and Skerik from gallactic and Mike Dillon on Vibes.

The man is a guitar god and you owe it to yourselves to see him live at least once. show up early, get a good seat/spot. watch is hands and bask in his musical glory.

Yeah, I know, I know.

I didn't know that the Violent Femmes could still sell out shows. I knew they were a big cult band, but I didn't know they were THAT big.

Everything sells out at the Zoo... except for Neko Case for some reason.

Where would the concert be at the zoo? I went there last summer and don't really remember any auditorium, although I didn't look too hard.

Forgot about another show I'm going to.

Clap Your Hands headlining that? I guess I could leave early. I really want to see Vanderslice. He's one of my current favorites.

I have no idea the order, there are rumors of Vanderslice doing a free instore at either Sonic Boom or Easy Street sometime in August around Pixel Revolt's release, however.

IN OTHER NEWS

Canadian lovers,

Greetings from sun-scorched Austin, TX; we here at the Okkervil River pleasure-cave
have for you some new information and insinuations, including the promise of our
first-ever Canadian dates in the fall. Yeah, that's right - after a shameful
absence from our more sensible bordering neighbors, we've finally managed to get
some dates up there and we'll be playing during our first headlining tour of North
America in years. Charles Bissell of the Wrens, along with Minus Story and Sub Pop's
new signing Band of Horses will be among the acts supporting us on that tour.
