a small paean :)))))))))))))))

The PSP is so good that in the new zealand/ AU region, people will fall over themselves to throw away 500 dollars for CHRONIC HAND PAIN when it releases. Worst ergonomics ever. My entire household plays my flatmates copy of lumines while screaming "oh fuck my hands there is glass in my joints!" over and over. But they keep coming back. PSP for the win.

And it looks so pretty. Can't wait to play.... ?

E3 for PSP better not disappoint. I must admit the GBA software blows away PSP. There has yet to be a strategy game like Fire Emblem, classic platforming like the Mario Advances, and Shining Force on the GBA, not PSP. I know its the PSP's first few months but I really hope developers get their asses in gear and start making new products. I see no reason why there can't be a few epic RPGs (Bring Tales of Eternia over Namco, you assholes) or some great strategy games. There's no reason why NIS should not make a SRPG for the PSP. I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll reserve this rant for next week this time if E3 disappoints. Racing games and PS2 variants are very fun but NOT the main reason why I got a PS2. Lets get with the program here, PSP developers.

Playing GBA games on the DS was dumb. For some reason, I needed both screens to be running. Maybe a clock, calendar, and all that shit should have been on the bottom screen along with a hard reset, etc. I may just get a DS just because the screen is nice. I may get a used DS just so I can get Fire Emblem 1/2, all Golden Suns, Shining Force, both Metal Slugs, and the classics for the GBA.

Every time I turn on my PSP, I simply have to make a joyful "HOLY FUCK PSP!" unto the heavens, and to praise God for His gift unto gamers, realizing the very purpose of the videogaming industry within my lifetime.

When I turn on my DS -- I think I've done so twice -- I also exlcaim "HOLY FUCK DS" but it's really more of a lament. :(

Anyway, I thought I'd inject a little reality into the latest round of pre-E3 idle speculation. If you haven't bought a PSP yet, you really should; it will change your life.

Sony for PlayStation. Sony for PSP. Sony is GAMING.

Live in your world. Play in ours.
