A touching story for all you Batista fanboys

On the way home from work Fri night I stopped for a few beers at a local pub. I sat next to a guy that I have known since I was a kid, he is a bit older than I am and his kids are pretty much adults. His daughter plans to be a career military woman, as does her future husband, the two met while serving in Afghanistan. The young couple were in the Washington D.C. area about 3 weeks ago, they wanted to do something special before returning to active duty, they decided on a great meal at a restaurant they truly could not afford, and would just load it up on the ole plastic magic. The couple walked into the establishment wearing their most formal military attire, a few moments after being seated, they noticed a HUGE, very well dressed man approaching their table, the young lady later told her Dad the HUGE man was smiling, he said hello and thanked them for serving, and protecting the country. The young ladies fiancee thought he recognized the man and asked if he was a pro wrestler, he nodded, smiled and said yes, as a waiter came by the wrestler asked him to bring the young couple a fine bottle of wine, anything they want, were his words. Then the huge man told them to enjoy their dinner and stay safe, well, when dinner was complete the bill for the food never came, the waiter came by and told them Mr Dave Batista had paid for everything including the tip.

Would have been better if he gave them the thumbs up when he gave them the wine, then thumbs down and smashed someone through a table.

I heard that story, too. Only when I heard it, the couple met Iraqi sympathizer Sergeant Slaughter, and he demanded those pathetic maggots drop and give him 20, and then forced them to each push a Hulk Hogan chewable vitamin across the dining room floor with their noses.

Nice to see money didn't make him an asshole like it did Orton. His stupid ass is getting transferred to Smackdwon RIGHT AFTER Mania. Let him try to take a dump in a diva's gym bag there.

You never hear stories of Dave being a prick or dis-respectful to anyone, which is really uncommon for a pro-wrestler.

Wha?

See, this is why I need to get back into wrestling. Can you tell me more about this?

Orton shat in someone's gym bag? Do tell more. PEACE.

He threw a drink on Amy Webber (this is why she quit) supposedly JBL was involved in that too and he shat in some other new Diva's bag on their way to Japan. I've no idea if that is some sort of common hazing for new people or not..

You're not a WWE superstar until a midcarder shits in your gym bag? Wow!

Don't know all the details, but Orton has a reputation as a immature asshole in the locker room. He poored a Bloody Mary on Amy Weber on a flight to Alaska from Japan, he did the gym bag thing. This was about the time he became champ and HHH told Vince that Orton should have the title taken away because it has gone to his head. Rumor is the ending of his match with UT is up in the air when originally it was Orton beating UT, but things are leaning the other way now. But he will be moving to Smackdown for sure. Kind of burned his bridges with the RAW side.

DAVE~! is the man. But that is such a great story. Yay Dave :)

dskillhtown nailed it. Basically this kid is going asshole his way out of a job at this pace.

Let's look at the record here.

Gets the title... get's it stripped 3 weeks later . (I feel this was just to erase Lesnar from the record books as youngest Champ). Because he's acting like an asshole.
Gets his WM main event stripped (he was originally supposed to win the Rumble.
Because he's acting like an asshole
Gets beat by HHH 2 PPV's in a row, BADLY... Because he's acting like an asshole
Gets kicked off Raw. Because he's acting like an asshole
Probably will get squashed by Taker, keeping the record intact (and the fans happy)
Because he's acting like an asshole

See a pattern here kids?

This is the EAXCT same thing that happened to Lesnar. Given the world on a silver platter without having to really work for it and then taking it for granted.

Vince doesn't like that. He figures he'll give the kids a TASTE of the top, then bring them back down for a while. It's tests their loyalty to the business. Some can't handle it.

He wants them to work just as hard as he does for the business, which is an insane amount. You work hard you will get rewarded. As much as I hate HH for being a belt hog, he did work his ass off to get where he is.

I met him back in January the day before the New Year's Revolution PPV and he's a pretty cool and humble guy.

Edit: Talking about Big Dave of couse.

Dave's had quite the couple of years. I'm sure he appreciates everything he's been given by the wrestling community.

If I recall correctly his wife just got through a tough battle with cancer. She's in remissions, but thats a hard thing to contend with when you're just starting a career that has you on the road 200+ days a year.

He has a great deal of room to improve in the ring, but I feel that will come soon. I've heard from him in interviews and articles about how much he respects the business and will do what he can t help improve. He watches tapes, picks the brains of all the veterans for tips. This is what Orton SHOULD be doing. But a 35 year old rookie is surpassing him just by doing two things, being nice and working his ass off.

DAVE is the freakin' man, no doubt. I remember reading how he originally tore his tricep (back when he first hit the WWE) but took the injury as a blessing, as it allowed him to spend more time supporting his wife who was beating cancer at the time. I knew back then that this was a guy I could get behind.

Here we are two years later, and he's on the cusp. Good for him!
