have it xrayed and have it judged by a doctor. There are rules you must follow if you want your bone to heal properly. I made a mistake of not following mine when i broke my pinky and now it's crooked.

Should you see a doctor? Definitely. Do you absolutely have to? Well, technically not, but that depends on the bone.

Funny.

Anyway, it's a good idea to go to a hospital so that they can make sure it is broken and so that they can set it back into place so that it can heal properly. Otherwise, the bone will heal in an funky direction and which would mean that later on they'd have to break it again so that they can reset it in a proper way.

Or... something worse which I'm not even sure what (if there even is a worse thing). =P

Not only do they need to make sure it will heal correctly but a splint may be necessary. If its a nose I guess you could get buy.

Might've happened to me since I broke my collar bone two years ago and I still have a noticeable bulge coming from it. Initially they said that there would be a "bubble" around it to protect it as it heals (for a year or so) but it's still there. Not too bad or anything so I wouldn't want to rebreak it.

That bubble actually makes your bone structurally weaker and more likely to break in the future.
