I missed out on the first-run of Toy Story and Toy Story II, I was still not into family pictures for my home purchases...

I am so happy this will be back out on DVD, my 2 year old daughter loves all of the Pixar/Disney flicks...

This isn't exactly news...

I've preordered my copy, but I'm disappointed that it seems to be missing some of the extras from the Ultimate Toy Box set. Maybe those'll make it onto the 2-disc version of Toy Story 2.

There isn't much in the way of new stuff either...I'm quite happy with my Ultimate Toy Box set considering the only really new feature is a slightly better transfer. When I get rich enough to buy a TV that it matters on, I'll be rich enough to pick up this new DVD.

The new transfers are very tempting, but I think I'd rather buy other films than doubledip on these. Hell, I still need to pick up A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo, so I guess I can do that and not feel guilty.

the original transfers still hold up pretty well. Hold out for the HD/bluray versions.

Yeah, I'm only getting this (and the upcoming Toy Story 2 set) because I missed the boat on the Toy Box, and didn't want the lame single-disc editions that were out for a while.
