Does anyone have any? What the various tab sites provides doesn't sound right to me(theyre all tabbed by the same 3 people or so). I'm only talking about the intro riff(not parabol) though, all other parts of the song are tabbed fine, but the opening has been pretty fugly. :/
Don't know if those are accurate though, I reckon I need a couple of months more training before I even attempt to play those (playing for a couple of weeks now )
Most of Tool's riffs aren't all that hard. I've been playing for a year and a half now and I can play most of Lateralus pretty well. Especially the first few riffs of Lateralus itself, the song, are a blast to play.

Yeah. Most Tool songs are great beginner songs to play. I know my friend could play basically all of Lateralus within half a year. I've never seen him play Parabola though, I'd imagine that's one of the more difficult songs.
The last few notes may be moved down the neck and to a higher string though, as it sounds like the low E is ringing the whole time.
NOTE: These are probably wrong, but melodically they sound like a good approximation.
I th ink it is in B, as I beleive I hear a note lower than a D later in the song (though the music is pretty dense so it's kindof tough to tell for sure)
EDIT- Small correction....I think that 8p7 is actually a pre-bend to 8 and release to 7.
everyone's asleep here, so I can't test it with my amplifier on which makes it hard to judge...I really don't know. It's quite different from most of the tabs out there though.
Yea i have no amp atm either. The melody definitely fits. I THINK i'm getting the bass line in there too though. That might be guitar though.
I looked at a my song book tab, and it's somewhat similar just done in a different (imo, more ergonomically logical) way and with more notes. Like i said though, it's so dense cuz of that constant E that it's tough to decipher whats guitar and whats bass.
