This is huge considering the game never had a re-release outside of Xbox. [...]
I appreciate all the community efforts, but I'd prefer Bandai would do something officially. They did port/remaster 5 so there's always a chance they'll do something at some point.Yeah no thanks. Give me a single click installer or don't bother at all. I know that sounds ungrateful or entitled but am not going to be messing around in system folders to get a game up and running.
Just crazy how it never was remastered. This is huge considering the game never had a re-release outside of Xbox. Definitely going to give this a look in preparation for AC8.
Not remastered, but a re-release was included as a preorder bonus for AC7 on Xbox.Just crazy how it never was remastered.

Probably not. But who knows?Ewwww...should I be worried?
Yeah, it's a build system like CMake or Meson. It's basically preparing everything you need to compile this on your system (checking and fetching libraries, checking what compiler you've got and which flags to set etc.)Probably not. But who knows?

This is the popular ninja. It's an open source program with 288 contributers so probably safe.
I think most people should wait for a compiled version. Setting up all this for one game doesn't make a lot of sense. I know I'm going to wait.Yeah no thanks. Give me a single click installer or don't bother at all. I know that sounds ungrateful or entitled but am not going to be messing around in system folders to get a game up and running.
For anyone who has tried this, how does it run?
