Fuuuuck! I screwed up my MGS3 run, accidentally killed someone. Shouldn't take long to blast through again after I'm done with the collectibles though...

Just bought Ni no Kuni for $4.70 from the EU store
Have Fuse for $10 and Deadpool for $10 lined up!

So good!
 
And I fucked up again...turns out I couldn't eat the damn Tsuchinoko. Can I do a new game + or something and just focus on that face camo, or do I have to get all of them again? Balls.
 
Doesn't an MGS3 one run plat advise you to make multiple saves pretty much before/after everything?

Haha, I did the exact same thing. I ran through again and just focused on getting that, iirc. I also made saves everywhere in the event that I get the PS3 collection, because some trophies don't transfer normally.
 
Platinum #46 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Awesome game, with a cool trophy list. I did my no-kill run in 3 hours, so it didn't bother me too much that I screwed up earlier.
Uncharted 2 will be my next victim, not sure if I'll go for the platinum in any other MGS games, mayyybe Peace Walker.
 
added myself to that metagroup. my PSN scores have been super low lately because I've been playing a lot more on the new PC. I'm also not exclusively playing for platinum as much as I was. If I happen to enjoy the games content and collections, sure...otherwise, I'm done sticking around for annoying trophies me thinks.

Took me about twenty hours and was easy enough. Very charming game and the terrible gameplay parts are thankfully very easy. The side quests are definitely the star of this game.

Woah, it took me around 40 hours. Guess I really take my time. Agree it's pretty easy and that side quests are the best. :D

Got my little cousin the UDraw games and knocked them out over the weekend. Still wrapping up Guacamelee on the Vita, slowly but surely.

Hated that Tilt the pad and guide the ball, such a pain in the latter stages 30+
Tilt painting ball one is decent

Godspeed on Tree Tops, that is platforming hell, practice makes perfect!

I'll miss you Songbird ; ;. Why do I get attached to these characters, I love me some Big Daddies, same goes for Songbird.
1999 Finished, had 9 deaths lol, (it was stupid mistakes)
What a fun ride to revisit after a month break, still felt fresh, rather than doing back to back playthroughs

I'm currently making my way through Sound Shapes' Death Mode on Vita, and I've hit a roadblock with Galaxanoids... I know it's down to luck because I can usually get to the end of the timer without dying, so it's all the more infuriating! Usually, posting on GAF about this kind of issue sees it resolved in no time, we'll see if that voodoo works once again... Or maybe I should give it a try on PS3?

Whenever i have a high scoring month. I really cant be bothered to play much.
Playing a few little games on Vita and still working my way towards Lollipop chainsaws Plat even though i said i wasnt gonna bother as i actually hated it.
Actually quite like it now i got all the combos.

got 3 more levels to go on ranking mode then im done.
Hitman Absolution is up next. Games massive so want it off my Hardrive.

You have to get lucky with the orbs placement

You need them to spawn 3-4 in a row on the same blue turning block
If you keep jumping from one to the other, you waste too much time

It really is dependent of the orb placement
You will get the rhythm, pace, even jump execution down within 15 minutes, it's the time/placing of the orbs that's your downfall =/

You go through the Trophy motions, happens to me regularly
I have to recharge a bit after a few weeks of whoring out on them, took 2 day break in between my Bioshock 1999 mode playthrough, and just bum-rushed the last 55% in one day

If you are going for one playthrough in Hitman get everything, Godspeed
Not hard but certain points sneaking is the best and only option, run and gunning on Hard is a no no
Also collectibles once picked up, automatically save, so just run to the collectible, grab, saves instantly, just restart checkpoint ^_^, start again, not worrying about to picking it up

Thanks for the positive words GRX. I hope I don't miss my chance when the stars align! I think I'll pay The Unfinished Swan in parallel, so that I can relax if the orbs keep mocking me.

We can do Bioshock 2 MP boost

It will be a little boring though to maximize Adam (XP equivalent)

I just played normal and ranked up
Best way is one person of each team hacks the turret from the back
Plenty of turrets lying around in maps
One person hacks it, than the other person starts just as they finish, repeat ad nauseum
Get a huge chunk out of it, perks when you rank up that help hack faster

Fun MP, wasn't fully thought out, very by the numbers

I already got some stuff for it, but my save got.deleted and I doubt 2K was forward thinking enough to save online profiles server side.

NOOOOO @ me for not realizing sooner that there's a trophy associated with not using the Dollar Bill vending machine on 1999 mode of Bioshock Infinite. Now I have to replay 1999 mode but without using it. God, it's going to be pain revisited. And it's not like I even used that machine that much on my previous attempt at 1999 mode.

Just accumulate the money glitch at chapter 12

You can get a 50-300 per run depending on the game spits out the random amount
Can even max 30 lockpicks in the process

I just wanted to be safe and had $2000 just in case shit happens
I did get to around $4000+ to get some weapons maxed out + vigors have a kick to them, made life simpler

Luckily now you know 1999 plays, deaths won't be that much of a burden + can steamroll through the game real quickly, w/o literally Scavenging for stuff

It's in the city area (Central?) store starts with an A, its located right near a ramp to the highway, it's the same store where you pick up your suits for the Wedding (mission)

The Mountaineer set, it adds 15% bonus if you wear the whole set (shirt/pants/boots)

You can replay all the Triad missions with that set on, increase your overall score to boost your XP

Thing is once you start filling those 3 Red Triangles and your score isn't way higher like +500 than the last time you played the mission, yu will gain minimal xp, and you will get assed out of cheev

Then you really need to buy DLC, 2 versions a Silver or Gold Pack, pricey shitty DLC

Funny enough if you had pre-ordered @ Gamestop, you earned a bonus mission, where you go back to the monks temple, you can play that infinitely and get rewarded handsomely in Triad XP

The clothes appear roughly 35% into storyline, so buy ASAP, play missions with it on
Then when finished (see which missions you did horrible, like half to a 1 full triangle filled, replay those, score high (hopefully you have unlocked all combo moves and wei is wei'd the fuck out)
Never repeat combos, always do something else
Doing the same arm break move will get you less and less points

Nun attack is super easy.
Frobisher says takes a bit of randomness to get the games you want.
getting the constellation mini game to pop up twice in the same game was a bitch.
his voice is now super annoying. glad they are off my vita now though.

also got my third rarest trophy for lietenant rank on Sine Mora. 2.02 rarity.

Love this game even though its trophy list is hard as all fuck.
getting the silvers and the gold is probably going to be next to impossible for me but ive suprised myself by getting more than 30% of the trophies already so who knows.

Haven't started it yet but that's what frightens me the most. Especially since I kinda suck with shmups.
 
Well my NHL team's playoffs are over so maybe I can start playing some video games. Funny how the first round of the playoffs completely took over my life. It was work > watch hockey on TV > work > watch more hockey on TV.

Is Doritos Crash Course 2 any good? I've been hearing horror stories about unobtainable achievements.

Since the month is already half over, I won't set my goals too high for this month. I'll just say I'd like to do the following:

Vanquish: 950/1000 (currently I'm at Act 2 in my first playthrough)

Mark Of The Ninja: 400/400 (currently halfway through my first playthrough)

I'm gonna take a semi-break from any major hunting (except Bioshock 2 MP when you guys call) to clean up my Wii backlog. I'm planning on selling it to get money for a PS4, so I wanna go through any games I haven't played before doing so.

Bioshock 2 boost most likely will be end of the month Noi, I'm super busy knocking out these DD titles to make space for June PS+ and the 52 week refresh

Also Steve is busy in his life, so scheduling will most likely be an afternoon thing on the weekends when he is free

Got the frst lieutenant trophy on sine mora. now my rarest trophy. 0.77%
Should be abl to get the captain one easy enough. then it goes into hard as hell territory
 
I may abandon pursuing the Injustice trophy thanks to the dull and infuriating STAR Labs missions. Nearly all depend on the AI behaving correctly and I encounter a programming rule oddity on every mission. Objectives not counting, losing score during Super cutscenes or background objects moving between rounds (I lost a Flash mission due to failing to save a civilian from a meteor after I killed Doomsday and waited for the victory cutscene to start). This list looked perfect until I started these idiotic missions and they are absolutely not worth the investment.
 
Phew, I'm finally down to the last two Beck levels in Sound Shapes Death Mode, hopefully they're as easy as the first one! Then I'll have all the Beat School levels to finish, which I really enjoy, and not just for the Silver trophies. I think I may move on to VLR then, thanks to PS+, and The Unfinished Swan and Rag-Doll Kung-Fu on PS3. I'll see what time I have left before The Last of Us, though :) After that, I guess it's back to MGS for 4 and PW, and Uncharted GA.
