Ye gods, how have I missed this show?! Just picked up the first season on DVD; halfway through it now. It's probably the best show I've seen on TV in a LONG time -- smartly written, skillfully acted, and the hawtness of Elisha Cuthbert all in one hour.

I know there are fans here. LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!

Get your ass moving because, yeah, season 4 is coming soon. Seasons 2 and 3 are just as good, although the debate rages on about which is the best so far.

(Go season 2!)

Yeah, I just started Season 2 after a binge of Season 1. I REALLY liked Season 1 for the first 12 episodes, it kinda slowed down, then picked up about 6 or 7 eps near the end. A friendly warning: don't LOOK at anything about Season 2 or 3 before you're done with 1 because they inadvertantly give away stuff from Season 1 that are the biggest shocks.

Season 2 is really good, although the Elisha Cuthbert "gotta run from the psycho" thing is kinda far fetched in this season.

The first season of 24 is one of the best things ever to hit TV. I'd say only the first season of Twin Peaks was better.

The second and third seasons were pretty good as well, just not as great as the first. But, the fourth should be spectacular too, they really took their time :)

Season 1 started slow, then picked up and ended very well. They realized this for the 2nd season, and that's the best one IMO. Last season started off welll because of the way Season 2 ended, then it got pretty fucking ridiculous with the commando shit in Mexico. All IMO of course, but I thought they were really pushing it last season, and Jack didn't need a friggin partner. I thought Chase was a bad addition, eventhough he wasn't that bad in the show. I think the way Jack handled shit in Season 2 proved that he was way above needing a partner. I forgot how last season ended, but I don't really have high hopes for Season 4. I don't know how long they're gonna keep the quality up, b/c I really thought last season was a step backwards. Hope I'm wrong. I love Bauer Power Hour. :D PEACE.

And another joins the ranks.

After you are done watching seasons 2 and 3, the question you have to ask yourself is:

Who would win in an all out battle? John McClane of Die Hard or Jack Bauer of 24?

Consider the question and your answer carefully.

Hmm.. while I agree plot wise it wasn't too interesting, it was fun to watch.

I picked up season 1 of 24 for $14.99 at amazon.com

great show I'm officially hooked and will be picking up seasons 2 and 3 soon.

For the same reasons that I prefer comics in trade paperbacks...I dont for the life of me think I could watch 24 episode to episode, it would just annoy me knowing I had to wait a week between each episode instead of having the whole season available for me to watch at my own pace.

I liked Season 1 well enough, I LOVED Season 2 (even with the super retarded Kim stories), but I completely and totally lost interest in Season 3 before the halfway mark.

Hopefully 4 will be great. Maybe it'll be like the Star Trek curse where the even ones are good and the odd ones are bad.

Except, you know, the opposite, since Seasons 1 and 3 were good, and Season Two wasn't.

Just finished Season 1. Damn, now THAT is good TV. My only complaint is that the "Yelena" twist felt kinda tacked on at the last moment, and a little too far-fetched. Also, that was one of the gutsiest endings I've seen to a TV show in.....well, probably ever.

I just have one question:
Is Nina back for Season 2?

The following post takes place on November 24th, between 2p.m. and 3p.m. The events occur in real time.

I'd never heard of 24. (Living in a foreign country will do that to you.) I was given the season 1 box set for Christmas last year. It was incredible. I can't imagine watching it weekly, though. That must be hell.

Season 2 started strong, but went a little into the ridiculous for me (how much can one man take?!), but it wound up tight.

Yeah, I'm halfway through Season 2; I like the stuff that's going on with Jack and Kate, but seriously:

A cougar? A COUGAR? Seriously, they couldn't think of ANYTHING better? A F***ING COUGAR!?!

Only 44 Days until the 2-Hour Season Premiere, and 45 Days until the third hour.

Wow, 2 hours? Sweet

Is it true that we won't have any breaks through the season? 22 consecutive weeks of 24? I sure hope so...waiting 4 weeks for a new episode was torture

I picked up Season 1 when the Fox box sets were marked down and watched it fairly quickly. A very addictive show. I've yet to pick up season 2, but it's on my big list o' DVD's to get.

Yep! That's why this season has been delayed till January. To get the sporting events out of the way, and to give the show time to start filiming in advance. (Sometime those breaks were just the product of production time on each episode going on for so long.)

In fact, I think Fox said the only way the show will get delayed will be if something major news wise happens.

Can't wait!

Apparently so!

I think there's going to be another 2-hour episode somewhere in the middle of the season, too, so actually 21 weeks :)

The first time the new schedule was announced they said 3 2-hour episodes: premiere, sweeps, and season finale. Whether or not it pans out, though, remains to be seen. Ratings will dictate that. At least the premiere is set (2-hours on Sunday night, normal episode the next night at 9).

I'm feeling the Bauer Power too at the moment, as I just started watching the DVDs again. Fourth time through Season 1 and it's still as good as ever. I really love introducing new people to the show and watching their reactions to the plot-twists. :)

Is the show still on Tuesday nights or are they changing the schedule? I remember reading something about that long ago but I wasn't sure if it was a rumor

Oops, didn't read the post above...so it's gonna be on Mondays? Gonna feel kind of weird...Tuesday nights was always Bauer Power :p

it's been hard trying to get other people I know to watch the show. I think I'm still the only person I know that actually follows the show :/

tempted to just start going "Watch this show, or I'll bring out the fucking hacksaw!!!!!!!!"

Yes, 24 rocks hard. But I feel the second season was better made than the first. A higher tempo with no real drops, and exciting all the way through. Season 1 was a bit slow in the middle. I have avoided season 3 on TV, because I can't stand watching one episode per week. Gonna pick up it on DVD. Thanks for reminding me about that, actually. :)

They showed a pretty lengthy commercial for it during Spider-man. From what I can tell from the trailer:

Jack has a hot girlfriend. He is not working at CTU anymore, but it looks like he is involved somehow in law enforcement.

Some woman is now head of CTU. Did not recognize her. Also Chloe is still at CTU from what I could tell.

Someone from Jacks' past is after him. Also there is a greater threat involving what looked like Muslim terrorists. The commercial did specify what type of threat though.

Can't wait for January 9th!!!

Yeah, it was slow in the middle cause they only got 13 episode deal at first. The 13th episode could fit as a "final episode" if it had to be. So once they got extended to 24 episodes that year, they kinda had to "restart" whatever they were going with.

Uhhh... how can you even say either way? We don't even know what's going on, besides a lot of shit which is characteristic of the series.

The voice-over was cheesy, though.

If it's anything like last year, the teaser only shows what's gonna happen in the first two episodes

Man, I'm almost done with Season 2. It started off a bit rougher around the edges, what with not knowing what was going on with Kate and the stupid Kim stuff but it got REALLY good.
It's funny how it gets so intense AFTER the nuclear bomb goes off although I liked the George Mason character a LOT.
I'm glad that they dropped the Kim stuff too.

BTW, Jack Bauer could beat the shit out of John McClane ANY day. :D

Season 2 was my favorite, followed by 1 and then 3.
season 2 just never quit. the action kept on coming. And Mason is such a badass
