Speaking of addiction, I'd say meta-posting is the most severe form of addiction. Currentlz we have three meta-discussions on the off-topic front, i.e. posts discussing posting in GAF.

You're right on the quality thing. My posts are fine, but they're not really good ones to get noticed like White Man's are for example.
But it's a lot of things really. The quality thing, the schtick thing, the fact that I'm not a complete twat, I'm not a girl, I don't make many topics, I don't speak to anyone from here in a chat or on AIM or whatever, I get the occasional laugh but I'm not one of the funnier posters...plus I changed my name with the forum change.
This isn't something that overly bothers me BTW, I'd prefer to be slightly obscure rather than be most of those things (and those it'd be good to be I can't just change, like being funny or top quality).
