Adolf Hitler triumphs in Namibia local elections fifth time in a row
Namibian politician Adolf Hitler Uunona has retained his seat in his small northern constituency yet again despite his controversial name.
Six million votes!
Were his parents fans of Hitler or something? I've also heard that the name Hitler is popular for some reason in some areas of the global south like India.

Mein Fuhrer, you're black!
Apparently his parents weren't aware of the full details at that time, and Namibia was once a German colony, so german names aren't uncommon. Were his parents fans of Hitler or something? I've also heard that the name Hitler is popular for some reason in some areas of the global south like India.
…
Ik wil bowlen!!Does he also like to play bowling?
I'll take this opportunity to recommend Taika Watiti's dark comedy movie about Hitler, called 'Der Untergang'.

My impression is that there is an understanding that Hitler was a powerful man of some importance among the general populace in these areas. However, I don't think most of these people actually know who Hitler truly was and why he is important figure in history. I don't doubt that the western fixation on him may have played a role.Well we constantly getting documentaries about Adolf Hitler non stop, not to mention people keep shouting HITLER when someone disagrees on something. Perhaps the constant chatter made the name popular regardless of the actual history.

Most of the time, he doesn't need to use his full name anyway, so he never bothered to change it.
Besides, only crazies would think he was a Nazi.
