Understatement of the Year. Between your observations of the state of the ADVP kit and Sho Nuff's and JackFrost's comments on internal procedures at Japanese devs, that's about the biggest downer I've read in a while.

Good luck though on relocating your game project to PC.

Good job duckroll & Jiji. Been using it for a few days now. The lack of a preview is bad, but it's not something impossible to overcome. The lack of a sprite layer however is more debilitating as it severely limits the type of games you can make. Lack of importing custom sound effects and BGM is also a major negative.

There are other tidbits that seem impossible to do, but it depends if there are "hidden" tags or not. Not everything is documented after all and there are some suspicious actions which might suggest timers for example.

Meanwhile I have found a type of game I can make, and hopefully I'll finish something for once in my life.

Are there any simple ADVP game examples on the net anywhere, and/or has anyone here made anything with it yet? Also, is the documentation eventually going to get translated or are duckroll/jiji only going to patch the studio app itself? I tried having a fiddle with it to see if I could make some sort of basic "hello world" thing but although I was able to create a text string, editing it to say "hello world" was non-obvious and so I ended up having to load up the source file in notepad and edit it there. There's also obviously some other steps required before an .adv object-file can be created since it gave some sort of error when I attempted to get it to produce one.
