After using the Switch 2 for a week I'm glad I have a Steam Deck

Switch 2 is for 1st-party games. Deck is better for everything else. Versatility of Deck is it's strength: 3rd-party games and prices, streaming like Chiaki4Deck, Moonlight/Sunshine, GeForce Now, advanced emulation, comfortability, advanced controls, Steam cloud saves, etc. It's the perfect handheld sidekick to a primary Steam player.

The mods banned him for telling the truth.
I prefer to think of it that they gave him more time to play with his Switch 2.

I got Switch 2 to play Nintendo games, many of which with other people (smash, Mario party, mkw, splatoon, etc)

Even with emulation, I would imagine you can't do MKW online with a PC but what do I know

The honeymoon period of the Switch 2 is over with. People are now starting to come out and speak frankly about the truth that Nintendo's long rumored Switch Pro was renamed to Switch 2. It's not a new console as much as it is just a hardware refresh. Sure it runs games better than Switch, but at the end of the day, it's no more fun than its predecessor. Mario Kart World may sell it to some, but it was pretty clear to me that there was no innovation there that made it any more fun than the last game. In fact, many consider it a step back. When Nintendo was so guarded with things like how the open world worked, and then the bricking feature was announced, I chose to sit this one out. I already had a Steam Deck, so another Switch just didn't offer any incentive for me to rush out and get one. I already had Cyberpunk on SD and PC, and after seeing how lifeless the traffic patterns were compared to what is on the Deck, it shocked me how people compared the Switch 2 version to it and said it was better. I mean, sure if you don't have access and Switch 2 is the only way to play it portably, it's fine, but for those with options, why? Quite a few gamer YT channels that stated this very same thing jumped on Switch 2 day one I guess for views, maybe the feel of buying a new console. Those videos didn't turn any fantastic numbers anyway and they look like idiots. They lost subscribers and gained nothing for playing two games; one they already owned, and the other a cash grab rehash racing game. It's their money I guess, but I was one of the many subs that hit the road.

So you could be talking about any MK since 64 then.

Hey man, I like the game and its gimmick. I got gold cups in almost everything 150cc already, but I didn't expect it to give me a bj or else Nintendo sucks, just be Mario Kart.

On software side this goes for any old game on console vs PC, the PC version scales with the new hardware while the console version needs a patch.
