After writing one exam, ever feel like not studying for the next?

So I had two exams today, and I did pretty good on both. I had to work last night as well so I prepped somewhat in advance. Anyway, I have a midterm tomorrow in Pharmacology worth 40% of my mark, and I haven't had time to really start studying yet.

I got home today around 1:30 after playing some 3rd Strike after my last exam, and then watched the new Naruto and then drove to Taco Bell to get some free chicken enchiladas (scored some vouchers last night at work :lol). Hmm now I'm just sipping a Coke on GAF, don't feel like studying...perhaps I'll start now. I'm just sleepy and stuff, I don't wanna!

Worst part is, after tomorrow, it's reading week for me so one week off school! Why can't I just hold in there for one more day? :lol

Edit: I finished the Coke.

yes, this is the reason I'm on GAF right now... no it's not, I'm actually just hopelessly and habitually addicted.

The funny thing is that I too am "studying" for an exam tomorrow on these messageboards. I swear no matter how much i study for a Calculus Exam, I feel as if i know just as much before studying as i do after.

Reading week? :lol

Anyway, I also have off next week but it's just considered a winter vacation, or something. No exams tomorrow fortunately, though I do know the feeling. Good luck.

Yeah, but that feeling passes in a day. After that, its time to hit the books again.

Edit: I had a midterm on tues, yesterday and one today. Fucking sucked, but I'm done! DONE I TELLS YAH! It's time to party, going to the starlight for a concert. Reading week starts too (i've only got classes on tues, wed, and thurs, so reading is is on for me right now).

BTW, what school do you go to?

When I'm home all I do is surf GAF, go to the library you'll get 10x as much work done.

3 exams this week, did good on the first... ok on the second and... the third has yet to be determined. I should actually read the text book I paid up the ass for.. but it'll just confuse me more. First tests under a new professor are always hard to judge. I have no clue what to expect. However, I expect this semester to start and finish like all of my others. I start off real lazy, expecting to just "know" the material. Then as I get mid-way through my grades aren't where I'd like them to be so I step up and try harder... after a few great grades then I start to fall off again for finals. Fun fun fun.

That's the thing with school...
...it's a crappy cycle, especially if you procrastinate a lot:

-Lazy & Procrastinate
-"SHIT! Exam coming up...gotta CRAM"
-Exam.
-"Hey, that wasn't so bad..I'm tired from all that cramming though - I deserve a break"
-"CRAP! The break I took was too long...gotta CRAM for the next one"
-"Hey, that wasn't so bad..I'm tired from all that cramming though - I deserve a break"
-"CRAP! The break I took was too long...gotta CRAM for the next one"
-"Hey, that wasn't so bad..I'm tired from all that cramming though - I deserve a break"
-"CRAP! The break I took was too long...gotta CRAM for the next one"
...until summer.

Reading week is nice though - I forget, do they have beer gardens or anything in Quad for that?

When I first got into University, the week before reading week was called 'dead week' because profs would never put midterms on that week. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!? Now they all do it. I have friends that have 4 tests on that week.

I definately put everything off untill it needs to be done. But usually I work better when I NEED to do something. If it's like a week before an exam I'll try to study for it. I spend about 10minutes just starring at my notes and I give up. However, if its the night before I seem to study better. Its that mental thing of now or never. Sometimes it works.. sometimes it kills me. I remember one test that occured right after spring break. 8am class that monday. I totally forget the damn thing was that day, worst score I ever got. Another test, last semester I believe, the professor would have a habit of not telling you anything. You had to follow the sylabus religously or you'd be fucked. So about 15 mins before class I skim over the sylabus..test that day. I studied like mad for 10 minutes.. got to class early and studied some more. Got a 89% and beat the shit out of my friends score who had studied for the past few nights. Lovely.

Ah man after I started this thread I fell asleep for 2 hours! Fuuuuuuuuck!

Well whatever, pharmacology is more a joke than psychology (both of these courses are introductory). I can't believe kids that are taking psychology seriously, at least at the 100 level. There's not much *to* get, you just sorta get it :lol

Pharmacology 201 at U of A (University of Alberta) is ridiculous too. It's basically very very general concepts that you probably already know. They stress things you don't need to know for the exam a lot too, like equations for graphs, Henderson-Hasselbach, etc., don't know it! Just get the general idea :lol

Maybe that's why I'm so relaxed.
