Age-Age: What is your age?

23 going on 30 apparently to everyone I hang out with. I routinely get weird looks when I hang out at parties, with my friends later telling me they were asked why they were hanging out with the old guy.

19. Seems to be a standard age around these parts.

Good. We can feel old together.

lol

deal

start the pity party on your bday and we'll keep it going for a week.

a friend of mine turned 30 last year and he was lamenting his fate to such a degree that we actually built him a coffin and held a "wake" for him.

personally? i feel like my life is just starting. :)

I've been 20 for about 40 hours now. It really doesn't feel much different than 19, especially when I go no sleep this weekend.

Yikes! Sounds like your friend has a real "issue" there with turning 30. :lol

Me, i'm not truly concerned about it. I just like to play it up like I am. I certainly would rather not be getting older though. I still feel like i'm 21. I don't act like it, but I don't feel all that different than I did at that age.

well, i'll freely admit that i get tired easier, but i'm taking better care of myself now to make up for that.

i think that everything will balance in the end though.

and for not acting like we did at 21....yeah, thank god for that...

How old are you? I've heard rumors...are they true?

I am Prine's father, and he is grounded.

Not sure. I think a lot of it has to do with the way that I carry myself, and the way that I talk. I tend to use words that don't commonly come up with the 18-25 year old crowd, even more so when I have been drinking. Sure some of it comes from looks as well, but I think that is more secondary.

As for having an Boogie like effect, it has been close to two years since I've had any kind of serious relationship, and that relationship stemmed from highschool so perhaps I am cursed!

However, as the ::shrug:: was meant to indicate, I don't take it too personally. I'm pretty damn comfortable with who I am and fuck those who think I'm odd for it. In my experience those people tend to be pretty shallow and not worth a lot of effort in overcoming these imagined age difference.

So, since everyone is stating there actual age, I'm curious now how old most people tend to perceive your age. Most of my female friends tend to get skewed much younger even though they are all in their early 20s. A few male friends rank up in the awkward 25+ looking age (awkward only because of the people we hang out with, not because 25+ is inherently awkward), and a few lucky souls just look their age.

I'm about to turn 23. Though people think I'm about to turn 16, especially when I clean the dirt off my lips. =(

Haw haw...how does it feel, old man? You are on the final countdown to 30. I'm 26, so 30 is quite present in my mind.

you know, I felt the ominous shadow of 30 when I turned 26. I think I just about accepted the fact that I was 30 when I turned 29. Kind of a preemptive strike against the more scary middle-age crisis.. dunno when that's supposed to hit. I'm not even married yet.

Still.. certain days, I feel like I'm still in college (18-20).. other days my lower back is giving me grief and it takes me several days to recover from intense exercise.. and I feel like I understand senior citizens.

Edit: People tend to think i'm no older than 24-25. I bet you some people think I'm still an undergrad.

29 till next january.

Like I stated in that other thread about shaving, I look younger - more like 25ish. I hope I will make a excellent looking 40 year old! ^_^
I feel like 18-21 though, if not even younger. Hmmm hard to tell, I just don't feel like 29 that's for sure!

I turned 10/11 on 9/9/99. Yes, the birthday of the Dreamcast!

I'm 17 now.

Definitely neat but I already know someone who shares that birthday-- My galpal.

Turning the legal drinking age on the luckiest day of the century surely means something.

24, 25 in september. I fear aging, I miss my youth, so I guess it's no mystery why I'm so bent on staying as healthy as possible -- exercising every day, eating really healthily, taking the lastest "stay young forever!" diet supplements. Except for my slightly receding hairline (sigh), I think I still look kinda young for my age, at least that's what people say.

I can't fucking believe I'll be halfway through my 20s this year, though. Where the hell did that come from. Sometimes I think back to when I was 17-18, get lost in my thoughts, and when it hits me that I'm almost 25 it seems almost surreal.

I'm trying not to become you, but with the way things are going...

I'm the exact opposite of this. I just want to go to sleep. I eat unhealthy, treat my body like shit, and haphazardly cross the street. And my hairline isn't receding.

Now I feel old... stop it!

Btw. I had my first 'crisis' when I was 21, I realised that I had not achieved any of the stuff I wanted to have reached back then... *sob*

Well, good night, I will go and cry myself to sleep now!
