Nong Van Thuong is one of the 40 veterans being treated at the Friendship Village. Every four months, the facility rotates 40 different veterans through for treatment and observation. Nong was in Quang Tri, he said, when the plane flew overhead and dropped a chemical.

"I remember there were two smells," said Nong, 57. "The first one went right to the top of my brain, and the other was a good smell."

After the war, he got married. All four of his children were stillborn.

"The first baby had no head," he said. "The second baby had no hands. The third baby had no legs. The fourth had no head, no hands, no legs."
That's horrible...

Jesus that is freakin horrible.

I don't know how anyone can support any war that is not a defensive war (and by defensive I mean an enemy actually trying to physically invade you, not some made up WMD bullshit).

If you thinkt hat's bad, you should see the effects that Chernobyl had on today's children. They literally look like Stan Winston creations....There's a documentary on it, some of the saddest shit i've ever seen.

This picture could prove so useful in the Gaming section, but it would be really mean to actually post it. :(

Don't even suggest that.
This forum has bastards that will do anything to get a "laugh". Ugh.

FOR FUCK'S SAKE DO NOT TYPE "AGENT ORANGE" INTO GOOGLE'S IMAGE SEARCH

Okay?

I just saw a kid that hasn't got a torso just head, neck and two legs... what the hell?

You know, I am not a wimp or anything, but I'd like these threads to be tagged as "gross" "disgusting" or "explicit" I thought I was going to read an article regarding the thread's title and I found some truly horrorific pictures.

Sorry, but kids suffering is way too much for me.

What does WMD have to do with Vietnam?

You could pikminshop them, try to sell it as modern art, buy a 'Cube and Pikmin for it and ship it to those Vietnamese kids. Wouldn't that make the world a better place?

Man that's some depressing shit. I also thought it was some photoshop at first. Those kids look like a stereotypical X-files type alien.

this stuff is the reason why my Dad and other veteran's have had serious health issues since Vietnam. He's on his 2nd bout of Lymphoma now. What the hell was the government thinki...nevermind :/

I know you meant no actual harm in this but there are occasions when humour isn't appropriate and it disgusts me. Perhaps you should think before you do next time.

Imagining you saying that in a northern accent made my day. Aye!

It wasn't.

What would be truly sad is if allegations that the US is still using banned chemical weapons in Iraq turns out to be true. It amazes me that people would such fucked up things even though they clearly know what the consequences are going to be.
