Oh yeah, I just remembered SWORD is a thing in the comics. I wouldn't be surprised if Fury starts that up to combat cosmic threats in the future while the Avengers handle Earth stuff.

They got an ongoing in 2009 also by Jeff Parker. Only lasted 11 issues though. I recall a number of one shots as well.

Cheers, will look forward to getting to that then. Shame they don't pop up more often, I quite enjoyed the mini-series.

Well origionally Melinda May was named Althea Rice. That was changed after casting for obvious reasons.

This is unfortunately false. Fox owns both SWORD and Alpha Flight.

Nope, SHIELD has been public again since early in season 4 of Agents of SHIELD.

But we also don't know if he's actually playing a SHIELD agent in this. They could be using the character and giving him another role. I do hope he's a SHIELD agent though.
