Bring it. But hopefully the game is as good as the first AW. Control was a pretty terrible game. Get that metroidvania crap out of my story based games.
 
Was 99% sure this was the project that they collaborated on with Epic, it just made too much sense. Let's hope this time they deliver the full experience and don't end with another frustrating cliff hanger.

Didn't Epic say they don't mind if the "exclusive" game gets released on consoles?

I really hope that AWE DLC from Control isn't the last time we've seen Alan Wake and that it actually teased the sequel.

Eh there's a difference between moneyhatting a game that was already made for a timed exclusive, it's another to actually produce and publish a title that wasn't getting made. I have no problem with this.

I never got into Alan Wake but I liked Control a whole lot so I might be into this.

Imo Max Payne 2 was their last good game. They keep remaking the same game, and taking 5 years to do it. Control was sleep inducing.

Sometimes things don't work. Imagine MS wanted to give them the money only if they were bought by it and Remedy didn't want it. Or if Remedy would only make the game if MS put the money but make the game multi-plat (PS too) because they want more people to play it. Etc.

So, in this case, MS would do the correct thing, not be douchbags and let go the IP for whatever reason.

I personally like Alan Wake, one of my favourite 360 games, but it had issues like undeveloped plot and unimaginative gameplay. I agree though, Max Payne series is their best work.

If they are restarting this franchise (unless it's a total reboot, which I doubt), there is a big chance the first game will land on PlayStation. What's the point of releasing the second game in the series if people aren't familiar with the world/storyline/characters etc.

Epic = no buy.

Put it on GOG, MS Store or anything else and I'd buy it day one. Especially since Alan Wake is one of my favorite game.

With Epic funding the game I have no problem with it being exclusive to their store.

With Epic publishing it I expect it to have some bullshit PlayStation timed exclusivity or exclusive DLC however, and that I do not like.
