Alcohol or Caffeine?

These are the two most loved and used drugs in society, which are you most accustomed to?

Caffeine for me, considering I'm always into stimulants over depressants. But yeah.

Alcohol. I'm touring through new beers every Friday at Bevmo.

This was interesting.

Someone recommend me some more beers to try.

I drink Coffee. I used to hate the idea of drinking Coffee but I don't know when I started picking it up and since then I do it almost daily...I am usually just a Starbucks guy though.

I stopped drinking alcohol when I had kids. Nothing I made a conscious effort to do...it just sort of happened naturally.

Caffeine all day everyday mayne. Can't get enough in my body.

hrm.. both? horrible habit I know. I drink about 3 bottles (not the liters, the 20oz) of soda a week. WAY DOWN from what I used to drink. And I generally have a few drinks every weekend.

I love beer, and love trying new kinds of craft beers. I also love coffee, and drink it every day. It would be tough to give up either.

Alcohol by a hilarious margin. Drinking BrewDog Slot Machine right now as a... hmm, 0334 nightcap.

Coffee doesnÂ’t do much for me, and I am actually leaning towards tea instead these days.

Alcohol just makes me sleepy after a short buzz, so obviously caffeine.

Only time get some "real effect" from alcohol is when i get hammered i guess and i dont like getting hammered. Just feels like ass and even more like ass afterwards with hearburn and all that jazz.

I need caffeine, but can't say I care for it. Alcohol, on the other hand, I certainly don't need, but I fucking love it. If I could only have one for the rest of my life it would be alcohol, I'm sad to admit.

Caffeine seeing as I almost never drink. Even then it's only a cup or two of coffee in the morning and that's going down as I've been losing interest in it.

I had to quit caffeine recently, went a morning without my coffee and I felt awful. That wasn't right. I dislike being addicted to anything, so I quit it cold turkey. Had a pain in the back of my eye for two days straight, and had another week where I always wanted coffee or soda.

I can have a soda here or there, but I no longer NEED to.

So my answer is booze. While I know getting hooked to that is much worse, it doesn't seem to have the same addictiveness to me personally.

Caffeine. Coffee, tea, kombucha, soda, etc, take you pick of deliciousness. A little caffeine a day gets me going, helps me focus better.

Alcohol hurts my stomach, gives me a headache, makes me unable to drive, leaves me feeling like shit every time, comes with extra calories, lowers my blood sugar and inhibitions causing me to make shitty food choices. I've had 1-4 drinks a year for the past 8 years and am never looking back.

I drink caffeine at least once every day, usually twice if I need it. I don't drink anymore so caffeine for me!

Caffeine. I stopped drinking alcohol when i was like 26 or sonething. I have the occasional beer. But i get coffee everyday and sometimes twice on thursdays.

Recently I have been preferring caffeine. Coffee is free at work, and I'm trying to cut back on expenses. Plus beer bellies are a pain to get rid of, to reference a recent GAF thread.

Caffeine. Don't really care much for alcohol. I'll drink it socially, but I never really feel like I want to drink.
I can go months without drinking alcohol.

Coffee fucking nuts here. Our mess has a good free onuse espresso machine which I put through itÂ’s paces about 4 times a day.

Change a few life habits and cutting back on alcohol has been one of them. Originally the idea was not to buy beers for after work and only drink at the bar (was drinking 4-6 beers a night) but itÂ’s actually meant IÂ’ve barely drank anything in the last 6 months.

There's room in my heart for both, but at my core I'm a stimulant guy. 2 big ass coffee's a day is generally a regular thing. I'm probably lucky I never got super in cocaine because that shit would probably ruin me. I feel like alcohol as a habit, I've seen nothing but people get more and more fucked up.

An Irish coffee,

Seriously, I don't drink coffee and I drink little amount of alcohol. I will be having a pint this evening since it's the long weekend.

I drink neither. I am very judgemental of people who can't go throughout their day without constantly consuming coffee. There's something seriously wrong if you need caffeine to function. Alcohol is just gross to me. I have never had an alcoholic drink that actually tastes good. And the "learn to drink it" argument is just the stupidest thing ever.

why not both?

caffeine at 6 a.m. and alcohol at 6 p.m. for me. yes my stomach lining is fucked but whatever

I used to drink coffee all the time, and I still do in the morning, but in the last few years I've developed a thing for tea and have come to prefer it.

The thing I hate about caffeine is that, if I go about 24-36h without it, I get terrible headaches for hours on end.

I'm trying my hardest to cut down on both. I love my coffee, and when I'm out with the boys, I like to get some alcohol in me to get the night flowing.

Gun to my head... Caffeine.

I survive on Coke and Starbucks lol so caffeine is basically a part of my (un)healthy diet.

Recently though a couple of coworkers took me to a brewery in orange county and they had this ginger ale beer. If they had more soda flavored beer I'd add that to my diet as well.

If they do forgive my ignorance lol I don't really drink much lol.

I try to stay away from Caffeine since that shit will make you addicted to it and I dont want to end up like my Dad, who almost seems like he doesn't function when he hasnt had his cup.

In terms of alchohol, I'll drink once every 2 week or so, get together with friends and play fighting games is a recipe for good times. Rarely if ever do we actually decide to hit the club or pubs

I usually have a cup of coffee a day but I do enjoy a good beer every now and then, Given the choice I'd probably pick caffeine over alcohol.

I don't drink coffee. 2 or 3 times a week I have a 0.5L bottle of Coke Zero or the like so I rarely consume caffeine. On the other hand, I really like beer and scotch but I usually only drink on the weekend or when I'm hanging out with friends.

Both, I'm Finnish. Both are ingrained in our DNA.

Alcohol. I'm touring through new beers every Friday at Bevmo.

If you like wheat beers, try Erdinger or Weihenstephaner. An awesome strong lager is Weihenstephaner Korbinian. They also make some yummy wheat Dunkel. Those two are pretty much my go to breweries.
