Man reading 1.4k posts takes a while.

All I have to say is #TeamInaho

Also suck it you Slain fans. Can't wait to see Slain get rekt.

I knew as soon as Duckroll got on Slain's team he was doomed. So #TeamInaho says thanks. ;P

Just marathoned this. I was really liking it until the last episode when Shaine just went full idiot and protected the freaking guy that was trying to kill his princess, then was shocked when he killed her. Fucking what?

I would also be upset at whatever the fuck that ending was if not for all the advertisements showing everyone alive.

I'm on no one's team because everyone acted like a fucking idiot in the last episode.

INAHO!!!!!! Time to slay Slaine

I can't see his face. Please have amnesia and be wearing a mask so we can get a Char clone and a main opponent.
Even just an eyepatch will do.
You can't turn Inaho into a villain. THe other side would have zero chances of winning :D

Inaho, Saazbaum and Asseylum all surviving is anticlimactic as fuck. At the very least Saazbaum should've stayed dead. Preferably Inaho cause he sucks dongus, but whatever.

Slaine couldn't even kill someone in point blank range?

I always thought the Slaine a shit meme was a bit mean to the guy, but damn if he isn't trying hard to earn having the meme hover over him permanently.

Slaine's ineffectiveness can only be blamed on terrible writing. It's contrived.

Just because a character is ineffective doesn't mean the writing sucks. It's just a character trait. Think of Slaine as comedic relief in this dark story.

Omg, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Saazbaum's waifu isn't dead either.
seriously, she probably isn't dead

Edit: aww it's fake? Lame. I still don't think he's dead.

I say it real untill proven otherwise because of all of the non dead should be dead characters this are clearly dead with being dead that they are alive

I sincerely hope the previews are just trolling and all the characters that died, stay dead (or at least are vegetables to be used as a prop, in Asseylum's case). As much as I loved the first season that kind of asspull would kind of retroactively ruin it.

don't get the hate for slaine. he killed the enemy just as the enemy shot his plane earlier in the show.

of course, this all doesn't matter when everyone can be revived on a whim.

relevant:

p.s. I hate inaho. real talk, you just don't kill every mecha with a trainer suit because you are the protagonist. fuck his generic face to hell.

Why would they mention him? He's a nobody. Just some dumb random student. The only reason he even existed was to give Slaine his moment of glory. #TeamSlaine #AllHailTheKing #TheRealDarkKnight

sorry for being late but I need to quote this.

yes yes yes

the real hero is here.

I could care less about him shooting his Inaho. Why I hate him is that he saved Saazbaum who was trying to kill the princess, then Saazbaum killed the princess, and Slaine got upset about it as if he had no idea that would happen. What the hell did he think was going to happen, Saazbaum would magically change his mind about it?

"Oh, you saved my life? I'm not going to complete the plan that I have been planning for years now due to that. Thank you so much Slaine, you have my blessing in tapping the Princess now."

He was conflicted. The count saved his life, gave him a badass mecha, and above all he is a Martian. Slaine is just deep, bro.

To me, he expected to save the princess before she gets killed. And like every episode, he was late to the scene.

There were like 4 shots of Inko. #TeamInko going stronger than ever.

Inaho is clearly a cyborg, first of his kind, designed to repel the marsians. They gave him fake sister to try and instil some humanity in him but it was only when he met Hime that his cold, steel heart started beating. Which proved to be his undoing I suppose. So deep.

"Oh, you saved my life? I'm not going to complete the plan that I have been planning for years now due to that. Thank you so much Slaine, you have my blessing in tapping the Princess now."

That literally did happen after the fact, since the princess is alive now. Here's what the director said about him saving Saazbaum:
Q: What change did Slaine's mind go through ever since the first episode started?
His maxim is essentially "I want to help the princess". That desire naturally continued to exist in his mind until the end of the story, but because of his meeting with Count Saazbaum, new values have grown inside of Slaine. Saazbaum is the powerful ringleader behind Asseylum's assassination attempt; as far as Slaine is concerned, he's an enemy he should be attacking. But to him there's a greater cause: "I want to improve the lives of the people residing on Mars". And so, touched by his way of thinking, inside of Slaine's head there's a conflict between "loyalty towards the princess" and "the great cause that Saazbaum stands for" that results in a waver in his values; I think that has something to do with saving Saazbaum's life during the final episode when he was about to be defeated by Inaho. However, as a consequence of that, one can say that Saazbaum, whose life he had saved, shooting Asseylum turned out to be an ironic ending.

Q: Does that mean that by saving Saazbaum, Slaine chose the lives of the people of Mars over Asseylum's life?
No; Slaine's action was something he did in the spur of the moment, I don't think he put that much thought into it. Saazbaum was in a critical situation. Moreover, his opponent was the fated "Orange". To Slaine, he was someone even more unfamiliar than Saazbaum. Of course that saving Saazbaum was what ended up bringing the worst possible result, but if we think about the circumstances of it, we can't really blame Slaine... At any rate, how Slaine will change after taking in that ending could be one of the future highlights.
