Part of the original design.
There's something off with his back legs,it looks like a spider or a crab tbh.
Usually they look and run like a dog when they are on their 4 legs iirc.
Also,am i the only one who sees eye sockets in the frontal region of its domed head?

To be fair, I could see another Aliens-esque action movie starring 70 year-old Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn if it were in good hands. That wasn't how it was going down, though.
He was going to write a movie that erased Alien 3 and replaced it with 70 year old Ripley & Hicks wearing xenomorph suits in a giant Weyland Yutani warehouse kinda... I dunno? Shooting people? Blowing up the derelict?
It wouldn't have been good. His whole idea was going to be "Ripley & Hicks are back. Shooting things."
Like anyone really wants to see an ALIENS-esque action movie starring 70 year-old Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn.
The premise itself is fucking busted.
...Jesus Christ.

Oh,i didn't know that.
Thanks!
He's playing both David and Walter. So Fassebender is playing a different Android than Prometheus?
This is exactly the type of shot that Ridley and Cameron avoided showing of the alein in their respective entries. It just sucks all the fear right out of the creature.
You assume this is the creature you should be fearing.
If there's a backburster, there really should be an asshugger.
That's where Franco comes in.
So, I guess we should consider Prometheus as a prologue then we have the Covenant quadrilogy and the Ripley quadrilogy (though Resurrection is more like an spin-off).
Works for me. I know some people would rather let it die but it already did with the awful crossovers and even though they haven't been stellar, Ridley's efforts to bring the franchise back have managed to give us a Xeno that some consider kinda scary.
Meager as that may be I consider it a win.
NothingWhat's wrong with the xenomorph shot at the end?
"Imma just catch up on the Alien lore real quick"
No...It seems people are overlooking another issue in that final shot with the alien.

Nooooo!
Yeah. But I feel kinda bad because after Prometheus I feel..."Imma just catch up on the Alien lore real quick"

The correct word is tetralogy.
It'll go...
Yeah, I was thinking of this which was mentioned some pages ago, it's unconfirmed though.Ridley Scott originally stated that he was planning three sequels to Prometheus, eventually leading into the original film, Alien, as Scott stated: "maybe [there will] even [be] a fourth film before we get back into the Alien [storyline]". Later on, Ridley Scott confirmed that Alien: Covenant would be followed by three more films before linking up with original Alien and stated that Prometheus sequels will reveal who created the xenomorph Aliens.

This really is going to be Ridley Scott's ALIENS, huh.
Is he trying to out-Cameron Cameron with this?
Because I don't think Ridley's really BUILT for that.
Noted. Sounds better too.

There's gotta be an exception to the rule somewhere, in some medium. Maybe a book?sci-fi rule #1
Never explain the origin of the super advanced alien race that went extinct
and/or the super advance alien race that was responsible for wiping them out
In this superhero hellscape, I'll take whatever big budget sci-fi I can get.
I mean technically in some ways, but Marvel is much more 'magic' than science. Yeah sure they present Thor stuff as being 'advanced technology', but honestly it's the softest schi-fi handwave possible. But superhero movies ARE big-budget sci-fi films.
On this day, March 01, 2017, I agreed 100% with a Bobby Roberts post, verbatim.
He just wants to say "hi" to April. It seems people are overlooking another issue in that final shot with the alien.

Yeah, though, I wonder if he still has it in him to pull scenes like that today.Black Hawk Down anyone?
Re: backburster, how could you not know something that size is inside of you until it bursts out if your back?

In one of the alien 3 abandoned script treatments there was a bodyburster (coincidentally from weaponized airborne xenomorph spore). The person basically projectile shredded their skin and there was a fully formed adult like alien. the person up till seconds before was functioning normally. Impressive.Re: backburster, how could you not know something that size is inside of you until it bursts out if your back?
#fail
Ugh god dammit. Now we're getting at least 8 hours-worth of how marshmallow scientists from the ass end of space got their shit wrecked by a fopbot who took their goo and made penismonsters out of it.
from the trailerOG Alien design had an human skull inside the dome

It was changed in Aliens when they redesigned the dome. I think, other than the original movie, only Alien Isolation has the skull.
