I like listening to instrumental music when I'm at work, and I just generally love good musicianship. Who are your favorites when it comes to instrumental? It can be current/classical/movie scores/etc.

I'll start off with probably the best live band I've ever seen, Polyphia:

Saw instrumental music thread.

Came to post Polyphia (because they're the GOAT in instrumental music).

Saw your post. Left pleased!

Shit I thought this was devoid of lyrics but it isn't listening to it again - there are a few small stretches of some but 95% is instrumental bliss.

is she doing a cover of the same jason becker who played with DLR's band long years ago?

Yeah. Becker and Marty Friedman of Megadeth fame, originally played in Cacophony.

Becker went solo and did an album then succumbed to MDS.

Altitudes is a song he composed and played at 18. A song that many people struggle to play, apart from this 16 year old French lass, who nails loads of songs.

The actual song is good but the lyrics are...well, yeah. I love the instrumental version because it is the favourite part of the song for me.
