The three movies, EVANGELION:1.11 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE., EVANGELION:2.22 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE., EVANGELION:3.33 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO, are finally going to be easily available on a popular streaming service.

edit: I was wrong about this being the first time the 3rd movie would be available in English, my bad

I wonder if Netflix is pissed after the work to get the series on their service.

Unless this excludes the US...

It definitely includes the US. Ironically it excludes Japan, likely because of existing distribution deals in place there.

Hope they won't go with another impact wiping out 99.99999% of humanity again for the final movie.
From the spoilers lol no.

Also is it FREE with Prime for 1.0+3.0 or do I gotta pay? Making us wait this long when you could could released it on Amazon for a bag.

So wait, are the 2 movies that are "3" actually different movies or re-redos or something? (I've only seen the ones that were on Toonami.)

Sort of annoyed at this, I was looking forward to watching the 4th movie in the cinemas like I did the last 3.
:(

I was happy about the first 3 coming to streaming though as I don't have the 3rd on blu ray.

4 rebuild movies as posted above. I need to get back into the lore to see how I would classify it.
2 older movies.

Pretty sure Amanda Winn-Lee never returned for the first three Rebuild movies because Funimation never contacted her but they got her back for the fourth? Wtf.

Why was the ocean red in the rebuild movies...
Cause it's a loop but one that's restarted after the 3rd impact in the TV show, I am not 100% sure if the TV show is the same loop as the Manga but it might be different

Ended up double billing 3.33 and 3.0+1.0, I really enjoyed the final movie and would be extremely happy if Anno moves onto something new.

I am going to watch the nhk documentary that's also on prime tomorrow.

Watched the first film last night, wife loved it. The audio is pretty aggressive, lots of vibrations felt. LOL

Can any of you anime people recommend something on Amazon Prime or Netflix for someone who's never watched anime? Preferably something darker more mature in tone? Is there like a Mt Rushmore type anime on either of those services?

Fullmetal alchemist is on netflix if I remember correctly, and would fit what you`re looking for.

I would also add Death Note, Attack on titan and Psycho pass

And definitely those:
Akira maybe.

Cowboy Bebop

erm, Evangelion is weird but maybe you'll be into it (I haven't watched the rebuilds on Amazon but I assume those are the ones to watch over the older tv series on Netflix). Neither of my favorites is on either (Mushishi, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex; edit: Mushishi is on Hulu - does anyone still sub to that?). Wouldn't consider either of those "Mt Rushmore" - maybe the Miyazaki movies which all seem to be on Netflix. For more fun stuff try Dorohedoro, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Punch Man, Death Note, Gantz: 0, etc

edit: Amazon is crap to browse. The one good movie I saw there is Redline

Eva and End of Eva have some of the best action and OSTs ever. Their depictions of the military trying to fend off giant monster/alien attacks from land, air and sea using actual combined arms with super heavy bombers, tank brigades, artillery brigades and naval destroyer groups is second to none in any work of fiction I've seen. Not even mentioning the sick giant mecha action.

Rebuilds 1.0 and 2.0 have some of the best action, visuals and OSTs I've ever seen in any medium.

3.0 has an amazing god tier soundtrack (including the one time I've actually leaped up out of my chair in excitement when a certain callback to Nadia the Secret of Blue Water began to play) but a absolute burning dumpster fire deviantart tier story that throws out all of the awesome storylines and previews that 2.0 hinted at. 4.0 will have to be beyond amazing to salvage what 3.0 caused.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
I have watched the first three before, but I am just rewatching them before I see the last one. I just watched 1.11 for the first time since 2010, and fuck, what a magical movie.

Hows the third one?
Almost manages to make End of Evangelion look rather sensible and mundane by comparison.

To be honest, I feel the tv series had better and more logical build up to End of Eva then Rebuild 1 and 2 had to 3.
3 feels like it should have been Rebuild 4, or even 5 there is so much stuff that apparently happened in between 2 and 3 that is not even covered or barely hinted at.

By act, I would say 9/10 then 8/10 and then ends out on 10/10 personally.

There is still some weird and confusing evangelion shit in there but it's a bit smaller and it's not the focus of this film.

3.33 was bad and Anno sabotaged EVA to be edgy. I haven't even seen the last movie yet been too busy being a normie. It's 2 and a half hours though so Anno knew he had to not fuck it up.

I don’t know if cowboy bebop is on their, but I don’t really like anime that much… in fact I really hate most anime, and Bebop is probably my favorite show ever. It’s much more mature tone and the English dubs are fantastic. Plus the music 🤤
