Alright, what other popular third party games should feature Nintendo characters?

Throw out your ideas, nothing we can say could be crazier than what's already happened anyway.

Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, Gamecube version starring Mario as main character. Hey he's got the right ethnicity to be Mafia anyway. All hooker models replaced with Daisy, Samus, and  Goombella. Sales + 1000000

Tomb Raider 6 on gamecube with Pitt from Kid Icarus, Washed up franchise + Washed up character. Might... just... work.

Gamecube version of Final Fantasy XII with Donkey Kong, Hey.. why not?

How about we mash two worlds together?

Zelda: Resident Evil, Hyrule gets infected with the Progenitor virus. Shadow Link and Wesker scheme while Link and Leon fight their way through a hoarde of zombies.

You could actually have Snake Vs Mario (ie. Snake Vs Ape Escape thingy)

I don't care which Nintendo characters but you could put em in....

SEGA / Namco lightgun games...
Sonic the Hedgehog cameo?...
Nintendo themed Square-Enix RPG...
Soccer game(s)...
partner's Arcade machine games...

I want a new Mario Paint incidentally.... with newer, cooler, music and animation tools. They could put out a camera peripheral and include whatever they've made of Stage Debut too.

I'll try to be serious about this.

I think a couple of Mario characters would work in the Tony Hawk games.

I thought Mario would work in Viewtiful Joe 2 as a unlockable character--maybe if a part 3 happens we'll see that.

Mario could work in The Sims. I'd put Luigi and Toad together, and see what happens, if you know what i mean...

Seriously, I'd actually like to see that. And it could happen given Miyamoto and Will Wright's mutual appreciation, and Nintendo's deal with EA. The Sims only speak gibberish, so the usual Mario grunts/yelps/yahoos etc. would work fine. You could embue them with relevant personality traits so that they act as they do in games etc. Unlockable Princess peach castle/Luigi's Mansion etc. Perhaps some special interactions just for the Nintendo characters..i.e. Select Princess Peach, right-click Mario, choose "Bake him a cake!", or say right-click Luigi when he's in his own mansion, and select something to scare him. It could be hilarious, and could nab Nintendo a seperate version of the sims exclusively (would be generally a good fit for GC too i think).

Mario characters in a RTS, anyone? You could have massive mushroom kingdom battles..toads vs koopas etc. Nintendo should do that themselves, though, imo. I'm imagining a cel-shaded, slightly gritty look for the Mushroom Kingdom at war (and I do mean only slightly gritty).

Nintendo should have a "Treehouse of Horror"-like spinoff series called "Wario's Wacky Wideogames".
The background story is that Wario realizes that his microgames don't make enough money and so he moves on to "epic" games. As he has no new ideas, he trades the gameplay mechanics between Nintendo franchises. This would lead to the following games:
Legend of Peach - Mario's Bagpipes
Super Link Bros.

Admit it, an OOT-like Mario action-adventure and a 2D Zelda platformer would be the coolest games ever!

If Darth Maul and Wolverine can be in a Tony Hawk game, Mario can.

Do you mean "Bowser's castle"-like gritty ?

Yeah, like that. Take paper mario in terms of visual style (though the characters wouldn't need to be flat), and add a bit of dirt. That's all.

That would also be cool. Shoot, Nintendo could do their own spin on things. How about a "Wars" game that takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom (Mario and other primary characters don't have to be present)?

If there's ever a true Sequel to Conker, I hope they poke fun at Nintendo mascot characters. The original did a fine job of ribbing the genre itself, but I'd like to see something akin to the Disney barbs in Dreamworks' Shrek movies.

They'd just have to change the characters enough to avoid copyright infringement... but not so much that they're no longer recognizable.

Nintendo characters in TimeSplitters 3 multiplayer mode! Considering how wacky TS multiplayer characters are anyway having Mario coming at you with a rocket launcher wouldn't seem that odd. :lol

Sega/Nintendo Super Smash Fighters Megamix.

That's funny, the Yuji Naka thread mentions that Sonic was going to be Smash Brothers at one point. Maybe this isn't too far away if Sammy doesn't object.

That'd be pretty hot!

I love the novelty characters in Timesplitters 2!
Like the squid-head dude, the lion, the bear with a fez, gingerbread man, dinosaur... all of them of course paling in significance compared to the true source of all evil: the MONKEY!

Mario characters would add to that mix nicely :D

Well, come on, that is like the money match of a lifetime, Sonic VS. Mario is something fanboys across the globe have been wanted for about 15 years now.

wonder mario (wonderboy)
panzer dragoon mario's saga
street fighter mario edition
final fantasy vs toad's kingdom
sonic vs mario
mario paintball

etc..........

I'm pretty sure Uniracers was made by DMA.
