I accidentally hit Alt F5 instead of F4 a couple of times, and it blinks the screen...almost like a manual refresh.

Anyone have any idea what it's supposed to do/be?

i know in Mozilla it reloads all tabs

just do it. it's working for me across multiple programs, so it's probably something build into Windows.

holt alt, hit F5, and then keep holding alt. screen blinks

Have you got a ATI card?...I only became aware of this when I made the switch from Nvidia to ATI.

well, just f5 refreshes the screen.. so chances are that is whats happening. this alt+f5 thing isnt working for me.

Alt+F5 is for switching between displays with an ATi card. Reason why it flashes is because you only have 1 monitor connected

When I did it my monitor went blank (like it would if the computer was on standby). Had to hit it again to get it back. Weirdness.
