is there any other fan speed control software that is a good alternative to speedfan?

speedfan installs giveio.sys, which is causing my computer to not boot.

The only other one i know of is Motherboard Monitor 5 but if it's a really new motherboard it probably wont have support for it since the guy that wrote it has stopped working on it. If u have an nForce 3 board, Nvidia's System Utility. Which i am currently using to keeps tabs on system temps because Speedfan was also giving me problems. =-\
