Am I the only one that chooses not to vote?

No vote, no complaints, thats my thinking.
I always vote, even if i think the vote doesn't matter. I like to vote and i like having that power to do so.
You're not just voting to fill in seats, you're voting on other manners like min wage, weed shit, health insurance stuff, etc.
Just vote people, sheesh..

I almost always vote, but I can't help but feel it's a little bit pointless. I mean, when was the last time a single vote changed an election? And it's not as if me voting or not voting is going to affect other people choice to vote or not.

This mentality just makes no sense.

Your single vote is not supposed to change an election, that's now how democracy works. But don't confuse that with thinking your vote doesn't matter, of course it fucking matters it's counted isn't it.

This is what is wrong with low voting and peoples mentalities. They complain about the condition of things and systems and want change, but don't know the details or do anything to bring change. If everyone voted, I would assume things would be better....

The "My vote doesn't count" and "THEY'RE ALL THE SAME" is such a ridiculous argument. Do your research on the candidates both in your state and city, and you'll be surprised who you may find running in some of the races. Anyone making the argument that all politicians are the same are merely making an excuse for being too lazy to actually research candidates.

As for "my vote doesn't count":many local elections can literally be decided by fewer than 50 votes. The majority of eligible voters have that same mentality, which is why we often don't see a large population of voters represented. Not voting is just letting others decide for you.

Until I can sway millions to the tune of my music, I'll never vote. The corruption in my country is so, so rampant that elections always feel like a front and that one man's vote counts for nothing.

An abstention is a vote of no confidence, and I think that matters just as much on a broader level as the actual ballots do.
