Am I the only one that is disgusted that neither David Carrodine or Uma Thurman were nominated for best actor and actress at the Academy Awards this year for Kill Bill Vol.2? They both pulled off such an exceptional performance that I am stunned neither of them even got a nomination this year.

I love Kill Bill and all but the acting was pretty sub par when you compare it to the other nominees.

This is what i called cheating!!! IMHO, this movie is supposed to use only the swords, surprising weapons, and different types martial arts. No guns are allowed in this movie. That's how i see it. The first movie is great. So, therefore, i felt cheated when they didn't continued the same style from the first movie.

Since it was such an ensemble movie, it would be hard to nominate anyone as a lead actor/actress other than Uma Thurman.

With that being said, I thought Kill Bill, Vol. 2 was an OUTSTANDING movie that was completely overlooked. Stylistically, it was amazing.

Most years an action movie gets awards for special effects or some such.

This year Spider-man 2 got an award for special effects, and House of FLying Daggers was nominated in several categories, inclduign, I believe, best director (can't recall the losers...).
