Some people just like the gameplay better. From watching a video you can't really tell anything about a game except for graphics and sound.

if you taped yourself playing over very long periods of time, you would have lots of that kind of material too. a lot of that stuff wasn't that impressive, a lot of it is not as hard as it looks. and again, you are being fooled by the editing. he probably done all of that over hundreds and hundreds of hours and edited out all of the cool stuff into one clip. watching it all together like that makes it seem so impossible. but it's not. the guy is good, but not like how all of you are acting. i've seen pretty much everything done there at one time or another playing with friends.

That was nuts.. Some of the sniper shots look like he totally missed. But yeah, those plasma sticks were insane, but some of them HAD to be pure luck. When you can throw one to bounce off the wall, and land on someone who's moving.. you must be God or really lucky.

Didn't you guys see the first part of the video where he slows it down? He didn't really hit that guy, but he got the kill. Also, the first part with the spice girls was demonstrating him hitting the people and not registering kills. Sometimes, when someone is holding the rocketlauncher or on a turret, you can't hit them for shit. Also, sometimes the sniper riffle just decides it's a pea shooter.

Agree with Elyrion: many of those grenade throws are simple lucky. Maybe he acts like this during all his games, recording everything and put up a movie with only the successful hits. He uses a great predictive thinking however, and snipes like hell!

It's nonsense, if you ask me. HALO 2's superior weapon balance, and stronger emphasis on teamwork and tactics(amongst many other things) put it over the first by quite a bit for me. I admit the game feels different from the first, but not so much different that people who've been playing HALO since 2k1 have to alienate themselves from it and call it trash just because it does a few things differently.

I didn't really play much Halo 1 multiplayer, but if the pistol was insanely overpowered in the first Halo, I find it funny that people are complaining about weapon balance issues in Halo 2.

Probably stems from getting killed by the Energy Sword too many times or something. There's room for improvement, but HALO 2's weapon balance is much better than the first game's.

What pisses me off is that CAL is forcing everybody to start off with the Battle Rifle and SMG, supposedly to "make it more like HALO", says my team captain. Fuck that.

He did. Notice the first clip-- completely away from the target, he even replays it in slow motion and the victim was a good 2 or 3 MCs away from where he fired.

HALO 2's netcode seriously overcompensates for the Sniper Rifle.

Close range fighting if you're up against something like a Plasma Rifle you could get killed quite easily. Or duel plasmas. It's not like starting with pistols in Halo 1.
