Ambiguously Gay Game Characters

On Sephiroth:

While we're on the topic of the Final Fantasy series, special attention should be paid to Sephiroth, FFVII's legendary bad boy. Once again, the flamboyant hair style and lavish outfit raise red flags, but with Sephiroth, there's deeper, more telling evidence. Just why is this guy so anti-social? Could he be wrestling with his own inner desires? Could he even have a crush on Cloud? It might explain why he took out his frustrations on Aeris, Cloud's harmless lady friend. And as an added bonus, the icy-hearted Sephiroth is the most despicable villain in the game, a position often held by gay characters in literature, film, and society in general. Then there's that massive, phallic sword, but we're just not gonna go there. This one seems fairly conclusive.

Verdict: Swishy

Wow, that's going to cause a stir...

So...

They forgot to mention that he's voiced by a member of 'N Sync in Kingdom Hearts. :lol

Wait, they say Zangief was straight, but didn't the Japanese versions of various SF games prove otherwise? He's one of the few game characters which it's pretty much confirmed that he's gay, along with the Choaniki guys.

This is really a stupid list, and if they think Seph and Dante are ambiguously gay, i don't know how they made it through the multitude of games featuring bishounen characters.

wait, what?

What happens to the arbiter at the end of Halo 2 on legendary?

Really hes gay? I was fighting alongside a gay dude? Fuck man.

Happens all the time on Live!, if insults are anything to go by.

You know, if you keep linking to this site people are going to keep going there. That's not good.

Also, not a single Tekken fighter? These lists are awful.

Dude. The King does NOT swing that way! He's just very comfortable with his masculinity. And who wouldn't be if they ruled the universe?!

They forgot the gayest of the gay characters. Of course, nothing ambiguous about him...

The King of All Cosmos!

More like the Queen of All Cosmos, LOLBLOWPOOPONSCREEN!1

As soon as FFXII comes out there will be no competition. Vaan, the main character, looks really gay. All FF characters have this girly look to them, but vaan is in a different league.

Now this is strange...

List of "Gay" Characters:

If the uber-chic hair style, vast expanses of bare chest and midriff (nice abs, dude!), and ultra-tight lowride leather pants don't convince you, nothing will. And what's with that belt wrapped around his pecs? Maybe our gaydar's off on Dante after all-he could just be a garden variety leather fetishist, or a terminal fashion victim. Luckily, we know how to read between the lines.

Then...there list of the "toughest characters."

When Dante bust on the scene, he showed gamers you could do stuff that before then one only dreamed about. Complete with long overcoat, arrogant swagger, and cocky one-liners, Dante could swat enemies in the air with a sword, and then juggle them with a steady flow of bullets from his dual pistols. He could also handle his sawed-off shotgun with one hand and blow enemies to smithereens, or holster his weapons and take on enemies mano-a-mano.

So, do they not realize Dante from DMC3 is the same person as he was in DMC1. Or Dante must be a really really tough gay dude. Damn, and I just made that Dante avatar. FUCK!

Your logic is sound, but it just doesn't apply to the King. I mean, look at him. Those purple pants, the obvious bulge, the sassy overly-large golden belt, that outlandishly fabulous cape complete with ruffled collar. The man is 100% gay, and seems quite secure in it. His whole ensemble practically screams, "This is me! This is who I am!"

I'm surprised no Kuja from FFIX on there... or Paul Phoenix. Isn't there a big debate whether or not Paul Phoenix was gay?

You know there will soon be Vaan defenders. If I weren't so lazy, I'd do a search for someone already defending Vaan's masculinity on this very forum.

Just shows gay and tough are not mutually exclusive. All this crap just fortifies the gays = nancy shit that keeps the hate alive.

Its too late. They probably asked the guy to whip up another article cuz of all the hits from yesterday's Mario 64 sux piece.

No Gordon Freeman!? That guy is soooo gay. He has a queer suit.

How come no Agent 47!~? The guy is bald and changes clothes requently....must be a fag.

Optimus Prime!? DUde is a fuckin robot!?

******My logic here makes about as much sense as this whole article and I think these posts should be stopped seeing how the person writing them puts no research into his articles.

Jeez... what was the name of the guy in DOA2? He had a friggin silver teletubby suit, alright. One of his other customs had him wearing a training bra.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it said "Ambitiously Gay" and wondered how on Earth that even works. :p

Don't know about gay, but Voldo's (Soul Calibur 1 & 2)) cut sceen's where he's doing his moves solo is definitely some of the freakiest shit i've ever seen a male character do in a videogame...not to mention that S & M Bondage gear he likes to sport.
