It is funny I brought this up a long time ago in a PC thread about longevity on NV cards. My GTX 285, and GTX 570 went 3-4 years where I was getting gains when they released drivers for certain games.
I remember part of the PDF log, was it showed performance increases in each game with what ever version of card from a specific sereis.
Now NV just does game ready drivers and most of the time I don't see improvements on older games, I see actually more issues.
Now it seems AMD is taking the approach NV started when it kicked off DX10 cards. Meaningful driver updates, and Video card options that will last you longer than 2 years performance wise.
