Of course the one game I was hoping to play through again someday with full path tracing ends up being the worst result lol.
To be fair there are a few settings you can tweak in Indiana Jones which greatly increases FPS instead of just using the Very High preset, just not sure how much it'll help the 9070 result.

Weird results as the 5070 Ti is like 4-4.5x faster than the 5070 here and 1440p with scaling?

Wonder when it's going up for sale? Checked Newegg, Amazon Best Buy etc, and only BB has XFX ones up on listing... and looks like they are going to charge MSRP model ($599.99) @ $729.99 after today, and OC ones up to $849.99.

Not liking how it's turning around. GPU upcharge by AIB has become a norm thing now.. :(

You don't have VAT in US, correct? These prices would look like 23% VAT in my country. I'm still checking stores from time to time and only saw RX 9070 with placeholder price of lo and behold $25924,94 😂.

No VAT in US, but we have tariffs coming in hot! lol. That placeholder price is really something. Probably someone just doodled with the keypad number, it seems.

What a time we live in. If I cannot get one at MSRP, I'm done for searching for a while and stick with iGPU for a while. I have 4080 Super for my main, so if I really want to game on PC.. I can use that one...

B&H just listed - and $1049 for Prime OC. lol

edit:
I had been waiting 2 hours before, and couldn't get the MSRP one from BB, and Newegg. B&H had only had Asus ones at 1000+ bucks. Amazon doesn't even show.
Had one in cart @ Newegg - and it was gone and cancelled before I even check out.

I'm done. Not buying GPU and just stick to iGPU for a while. Maybe I will get a cheapest RTX 4060 and be done with it for this HTPC for a while - as at least it will have RTX Video Super Resolution and RTX HDR.. :(

Got an ASUS Prime model for $719 from Amazon. More than I wanted to pay. Might make a late day trip to Microcenter and see what’s available for cheaper, but I set my pre-tax limit at $725 and this fits the bill.

If Amazon cancels I won’t be upset as my 7800XT is still viable in my Bazzite/SteamOS PC.

It’s been available on Amazon. Use Google to search instead of Amazon.

Sadly the Prime model is probably long gone.

Oh please…DLSS3 is what we’ve been using for years…it’s still great…but if it’s really that much of a big deal go spend your $1000+ on a 5070Ti
That’s easy to say if you haven’t been using FSR 2 or 3 for 2 years. The image quality comparison isn’t close in real life. Looks great in stills… but when moving it’s a fizzly ghost fest.

FSR4 fixed it. That’s fantastic. But I’ve been playing on DLSS 4 (easily swapped in to most of my games too… not limited to a small list like AMD right now) and its image quality in movement shouldn’t be taken for granted. It’s a huge uplift.

AMD needs to push FSR4 as fast and had to devs as possible. I remember sitting with my XTX waiting for FSR in some games being upgraded from 1 to version 2. Not good.

Sigh, had a work call so missed the launch. Doesn’t look like a card is in store for me anytime soon and post tariff price is sure to rise even more.

What a shit show.

Got to paying and then site crashed, then 10 mins later after loading said it was out of stock, trying with other cards available but sites keep crashing, what a joke

I pulled the trigger on one since there's some left. I'll have time to decide if I keep it or not. My 6800xt is still rocking but the upgrade is tempting

I agree that should be priority numero uno from AMD:
Not only get FSR4 into many games, but update all FSR1 and FSR2 games as well. No matter how old. Even if the game runs great at native 4K, so you can still run cooler with less power using upscaling

Not looking great so far in Spain... XT models are already out of stock and cheapest was available at 789€ (although when checking the page for that particular card, the price shown now is 689€, which would actually be great). Non XT models are available, with the cheapest starting at 639€, but I'd rather get an XT, tbh.

I think many are overlooking the power efficiency of the 9070, which draws in way less watts compared to the 9070XT. Yes the XT is 50 bucks more on MSRP but in the long run the extra performance does not justify electricity bills.

I guess most of you dont pay your own bills. shrugs

As I said in another thread I was only looking for two different models to fit my current build where I wouldn't have to get a new case or PSU. The 9070 XT Sapphire Pure or the PowerColor Reaper would have fit my unit. Both are sold out and don't know when more will be in stock and so I guess MFG prices will be a scam when these come back in stock, just like Nvidia. eBay scalpers are already jacking this prices up to where it's not even worth it.

Just power limit the XT to 220W if that's what you want. It'll be even more efficient.

If power is the most important thing then get a 4060.

Power matters a lot more when you have a 4090 and 5090.

Actually that's a good point... I was fixated on the XT and I haven't paid attention to the non-XT performance. If it's not that far behind the XT version it may be worthwile too (especially since I play at 1440p anyways)

Woke up 45 minutes late and got the white xfx swift for 650 from newegg. Hate to be a hoarder but im worried about gpu pricing trends and this gives me a month to observe. Not that long but economic developments have been coming fast...

edit: i was going to link you guys but looks like i got the last one.

Hey was this marked up 50 bucks or was that the white plastic tax lol

Maybe so but damn… still the 9070 XT should not have the same VRAM issue… drivers problems maybe?

still got that phenomenon where the lighter rt is fine, then you turn it up and its fine, turn it up more and its fine, then you hit a certain threshold and it falls off a cliff.

Scan.co.uk shows as in stock but no way to purchase, Currys are OOS, CCL don't have MSRP models (obviously) and Overclockers, well, the website is just fucked.

I'm going to take this as a sign that I shouldn't upgrade from my 3080 lol.

I have a XT in my cart, goto payment and the site goes down again ..... if I can get the XT, I can just return the 9070 I got

They were there at 2pm on the dot. I nabbed the Sapphire Nitro.
I put one in my cart at 2pm on Overclockers, but everything went down the moment I got to the cart. It's great that genuine buyers like yourself got one, but this is another bullshit launch. Only cards £200-300 over MSRP left that I can see. I'm not paying that.

Overclockers was a mess from the start from what I could see. Scan had less stock but their website held up.

There was definitely enough time if you picked the right website. I spent several minutes sorting out Paypal Credit.

I'm sure they'll be back soon enough.

Anyone who woke up on time - Were the 599 models gone instantly or did they last 20 minutes at least?
It went live at 6am PST. I was working on 4 tabs across 2 screens. I clicked on XFX $599 card the first second it was live, put me in a queue for 30secs, then kicked me out due to being out of stock. Got a PowerColor Reaper order through at Newegg within the first minute, confirmed it a few minutes later with shipping date, then they cancelled the order a few minutes later due to being out of stock.

I'm guessing scalper bots killed whatever paper launch stock that was available.

Came home with a Asus TUF 9070xt OC. Bit more than I wanted to pay but still cane in cheaper than my 5070ti at MSRP which has no tracking number or any delivery ETA.

Now deciding which to keep…

So happy to be able to get my purchase in at NewEgg, only to have the fuckers cancel it 15 minutes later. Stopped looking since I had a confirmed order, so now I’m fucked.

Okay let's see if mine gets cancelled in a bit :lollipop_grinning_smiling_eyes:.

Seemed too easy even for a 649 one.
