Two pics from Biggs twitter.

They still look the same from 10 years ago.

I love that Jason Biggs' character stopped appearing after the third movie but his father has been in just about every one after.

The 3rd movie was so god awful.

This. I still have fond memories of some genuine laugh out loud moments from seeing the first two in theaters.

I bet Oz and Heather's gf/bf end up hooking up with each other so the original couple can get back together in the end.

for people that were in college when american pie 1 dropped, how often was the movie referenced? i imagine it to be daily and in every party kinda like 300

The first two came out in the summers after my freshman and junior year. And they played non-stop on campus cable networks after they left theaters. Imagine Anchorman, Austin Powers, or Old School, that's how pervasive it was. "MILF" became a thing, like, overnight.

Isnt this going to bomb hard? Does enough of the original fanbase care enough to relive the days when they were 15? I can't imagine current teens and young people giving much of a fuck. This is like the equavalent of a sequel to Fast Times at Ridgemont High being released in 1999.

Same thing could have been said for fast and furious and that turned out awesome. I cant wait for this.

I would have liked a Fast Times sequel in ’99. :(

Even better, a Breakfast Club sequel in 2005.

Man they are really pushing the "It's the last one guys!" angle. If it makes enough mone yit is totally not going to be the last one. See Final Destination 4.
They still need to exploit 3D-ism. Saw did it, so did Final Destination. Shit even Jason and Jaws did it back in the day.

I loved every core movie (I've never seen the American Pie presents movies) and I can't wait for this one.

When the original came out and the following sequels, I was just out of college, and pretty much doing the same thing as them (summer house, ect), so I can't wait to see what they've been up to over 10yrs.

I would have killed to have gotten to those sequels...

Someone make it happen... I am pretty sure all of the original cast for the movies are sitting at home doing absolutely nothing.

A 3-D pie penetration shot? I guess I'd be curious.

This film is closer to Scream 4 than Fast & Furious.

I must've jacked off to AP 1 like 75 times in middle school.

I'm down for this. The movies aren't that great, but they're seminal (the first, at least).

These movies were always way too vulgar for my tastes. An ex-girlfriend tried to get me to watch the first one about a decade ago but I had to shut it off 10 minutes in because it was too much.

Really?

I hope you never watch something like The Inbetweeners if you think American Pie is vulgar.

You guys should try The Inbetweeners... it's like American Pie, but a TV show, and almost universally better thought of. It's also British, hence why it's yet to gain worldwide fame.

Edit: Oh right... two posts too late.

I hope they're aiming for the charm of the first one, great to see all of those people doing something again.

But damn if that Tara Reid bikini pic didn't send shivers down my spine.

Biggs tried so fucking hard to have a career after American Pie; can't hate the guy for trying.

They all did. I discuss this with a friend all the time, the funny thing is the one who went on to have the biggest career was John Cho... just a random side character. After that it's probably Alyson Hanigan or Sean William Scott(anybody seeing he was the one who needed work you should check the others resumes). It's one of those things where when the first movie came out, all these actors were kids with their whole career in front of them, but for the most part this was absolutely it.

While the movies haven't exactly aged well they were still a huge part of pop culture, and watching them definitely falls under the nostalgia category now. I think this could be a fairly big success.

I was in 10th grade when the first one came out, so it was kind of a seminal film for my high school life. The Superbad for my generation, if you will. I will see and most likely enjoy this.

I was a senior when it came out and would much rather watch Superbad.
