cricket playesr only hit one type of pitch. baseball players have to contend with different speeds, arm angles, righty/lefty situations, how the ball curves. whether the pitcher is throwing from the rubber or the strecht position. even the stadiums vary from team to team. in yankee stadium for example the right field fence is dangerous because it's so short. and you have a deep right/center field. in fenway park you have the green monster. in wrigley you have high winds, in colorado you have to contend with the atmosphere (!) and that's just on pitching, i can mention more on hitting too if you'd like.
look, it was a nice atempt at trolling but do your homework next time, mmkay?
p.s softball and baseball are two different beasts. girls play and fat old men play softball, men play baseball.
(rolling smiley) I GUESS YOU HAVE ME THERE MATE!
And when I say cricket is harder, I'm not talking about harder to take one swing at the ball (that's another argument). Cricket requires being there for hours with the other team playing with your mind, facing all kinds of different bowlers (spin, swing, fast, slow) and field positions, and communicating with your other batsman. Plus, baseballers would hurt their handseys without ridiculously huge gloves on
Look, you guys are being cute, but I was really after some proper comparitive arguments, such as I've seen on other forums. I've played rugby, cricket, baseball and basketball, and I've seen a lot of Poofball on TV. It's cool that you guys enjoy your sports, but well, if you give a man an Xbox, and he never gets to try a PS2 or Gamecube, then of course he'd enjoy it, right?
