I really don't like how the Wave 2 amiibo are coming out on seemingly random days. :/ At least Wave 1 had a solid date and came out on time.

I think that 12/26 thing is not when it'll start. The day after christmas will probably be a sale on amiibos or free shipping. I strongly believe it will go up around 5:00am EST. Last night it went up around the same time, makes sense to test 24 hours before it goes up. Take my advice with a grain of salt, I dont want people waking up based on my info

I was told TRU isn't taking in-store pre-orders on anything past wave 1 but I don't necessarily trust one random store employee.

Makes sense, I just saw someone on this thread say it. I have every intention of keeping hope for them to reopen online pre-orders since my closest toysrus is about an hour away. Worst case scenario I've got an extra Shulk & Ike pre-ordered so I'd hopefully be able to trade for him and Rosalina if I can't snag them.


Also I hate retailer exclusives.

Completed my wave 1 Amiibo collection yesterday when my order arrived. I can't really say how the overall situation is here in Norway with regards to availability, but i ordered all of them from two major retail outlets online.

I'm gonna go hunt for Wave 2 the next few days.

Not just wave 1 amiibos...that start date is on literally every item's page on Target.com. Of all the red herrings, this is the red herring-est.

I was at a Toys R Us in Yonkers, NY. They are loaded to the brim with everything except Diddy, Marth, villager, WFT. Tons of Zelda, Fox, Pikachu....TONS! I think there will be a handful of these that will be difficult to find longterm(Marth, shulk, etc). However, longterm I expect these to be way easy to find.

Most toy waves are difficult to track down at first. Usually the more popular something is the more pressing it gets and its overall ability to appreciate decreases.

That's the Toys R Us I go to!!!! . Yea they have a ton! That's where I got my Diddy actually. But they have never had Little Mac :-(.

I still need Marth and Villager. I don't want the German back of the amiibo box :-(.

My Marth just arrived! Best part was I got lucky and didn't pay more than retail for it (EB Aus online).

Bent sword, but honestly one of the best faces I've seen. Compared to some I've seen online, at least.

So apart from this, which is my Villager Amiibo being stolen:

I just had this happen to me, I recieved an e-mail from ShopTo saying they can't give me the Little Mac I ordered but I'm free to order another Amiibo.

That's fine, so I try to log onto the website and I can't log on any more... I try to reset my data and it turns out that they've switched my details to an old e-mail address, I quickly fix this and then I find out that there is ABSOLUTELY NO trace of either the pre-order or the pre-paid money that i put towards this order.

Man I'm pissed after this week, are Amiibo's even worth this much hassle to me?

Edit: After calling ShopTo it turns out they've issued me a full refund so this is now 100% fine.

Let's see if I can find a number for Hermes and speak to someone from Nindendo.

Most the rarer ones seem sold out. Although from Wave 2, Diddy and Little Mac are getting very hard to find. Captain Falcon and Pit are nowhere to be seen in the US as of yet, so who knows their rarity. Zelda's are much easier to find.

I didn't realize people didn't know, but TRU starts preorders for all the Amiibo that come out on 2/1 INCLUDING Lucario start today, 12/17. This is for in store, I don't know about online. If the associate doesn't understand, they aren't being informed through our corporate notices.
