The TRU I went to also had a lot of Peachs and some foxes, don't know if those are considered rare, but its the first time I see them on retail.
 
I have seen a good number of DKs everywhere, seems to the most popular next to Mario, at least around here. The Best buy I mentioned to be almost empty had only DKs, Marios and Pikachus.

I don't think any Amiibo have been discontinued yet seeing as stock of Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer are still appearing in stores

I went through all 18 Luigi's at my TRU last night and found 2 that were close to perfect. The gold paint on button bleeding onto overalls is a real thing. Also The L logo on his hat can sometimes be uneven. Overall the imperfections on Luigi are really minor compared to other Amiibos I've seen
 
I'd go as far as to say that the rare 3 aren't that rare these days. Seems pretty artificial now at least in Europe and Japan. You can find them with ease. I'm guessing Nintendo planned to discontinue them until they saw people going crazy for them. Doesn't explain the GC Adapter still being sold out however but I guess that's a more strenuous procedure.

Good sign that there will at least be a few more shipments. Will still be rare I'd imagine, but not a scalpers wet dream.

Standard price at EB, everything is rather high there. They haven't jacked up the rare ones or anything like that, thankfully. That's yet to happen in Australia.

Department stores have them for $14-$15
 
side note, are there actually good Marth faces that exist? I checked literally every one available at the NWS and picked the best face/arm/sword combo possible and the face still is a little wonky
 
Between this Rosalina going out of stock in the middle of the night and the World Store getting in the super rares one minute and then a couple hours later being all out, I'm seriously considering bowing out of this whole thing because I can see myself going absolutely nuts in the not too distant future.

I don't think so. I still find it weird how they couldn't get Marth's face at least semi-nice yet Zelda's looks really good. Link is borderline ok.

I was surprised that mine was actually not too bad. Evened out by a wonky sword though :P I'll upload pics when I get a chance.
 
I will be cancelling my pre-order of 2 Shulk amiibos from Gamestop in the next 10 minutes so you might see some available (assuming they are put back immediately). Keep your eyes peeled.

Well I've been keeping tabs on Japanese stores and Wii Fit Trainer is readily available, with both Villager and Marth getting stock replenished periodically. Every other Amiibo is in Stock.

In the UK a few have been going in and out of stock like Kirby, Peach and DK but you can find them if you look around at the standard retailers online. Villager, Wii Fit Trainer and Marth have come in and out of stock and today were available in many places like Tesco and Amazon.co.uk. In terms of the next waves, the only one that's hard to get a hold of recently was Little Mac. Shulk, Dedede, Meta Knight and Zelda are hard to get your hands on now but were all in Stock for a long time and I'm sure they'll be back in stock as they actually release them.

Doesn't it really work that way? I pulled my Smash bundle preorder from Amazon, and their stock didn't change.. unless 1 was available and got grabbed right away.
 
Haven't followed the thread lately but the smash figures drought was wrong. Local wally fully stocked with the new 3.

Now I just need to figure out the dates the next ones release.

I doubt the option to preorder becomes available right away, but at a certain point, if there's a certain amount of cancellations, I'm sure they the options to preorder will become available even if it doesn't last long.

I'm cancelling because I live in Canada and managed to get the pre-orders from ebgames when they went live. Don't need the extra ones from Gamestop.
 
How does the Amiibo community at Gaf think Nintendo going to use Amiibo in Captain Toad and Mario Party 10?

Mario Party 10 with Amiibo and Online gameplay has me intrigued.
 
I have just about had it with these Amiibo.
Sick of this damn run around Gamestop keeps giving me.

Finally get someone helpful thats sees they should have a shipment in store, asks me to hang on 5 minutes while he checks the back.
25 minutes on hold and they just hang up the phone.

Call back and hour later and im told by a different employee that no more are coming till February.
Tell him what I was told he said they were incorrect, so I tell him what the computer said before and I just get an "oh"

Been told to "call back tomorrow" for a week and a half now.
 
As far as preorders or w.e selling out of the store edition amiibos...that just means they will get more. Its called money and they do want it.
 
I'm really interested in a Marth, I'll even trade for a Lucario if you where not able to preorder it (I have one extra) or a Little Mac.

Also, not to make you guys panic, but Ike, King Dedede and Sonic are sold out on Best Buy, Meta Knight is still available, so is the rest of non-exclusive wave 3, so grab it while you can, kids. And choose shipping.
