already got zelda, diddy and mac. then returned diddy and got a samus. luigi, don't really care for him

Welp, that was a waste of time.... I don't think is going to go up right now, now I'm debating if I try to sleep or just keep awake for the rest of the day... xD
 
Went into a mall to see if any stores had wave 2 amiibo early here in EU. I specifically wanted Captain Falcon and Little Mac. I saw literally every other amiibo except those two. Even the three "rare" ones from wave 1. They are readily available here, really.
 
Well, I'm off to sleep, tomorrow I gotta pick up some luigi's to sell at my store.

Before I go, here is a tidbit of information that may make us, people without Rosalina, feel better: a friend that is a employee at Target says Target is planning on releasing preorder cards for the Rosalina figure later on, but he doesn't know when yet, but he has already seen them. The guy is kind of a dufuss but has yet to lie me, he was the one who let me know about little mac sneaky release... maybe he is just lying to me, that jerk.

And with that I'm off, remember this is something just a guy on the internet is telling you, don't take it as face value.
 
I have/had all Amiibo from Wave 2 through 3 preordered through BB. Since they are iffy on results an sometimes being a week behind on release I am going to attempt to get them at other retailers and use them as back up. Fortunately you can cancel parts of orders online. Just canceled Luigi and Mac. Sucks because with GCU they are cheaper and I get double reward points but it is too risky and I don't get to pick the paint jobs.

He is due at BB on the 30th. so dumb. i already grabbed him at TRU yday and cancelled my BB order this morning.
 
Shulk, Pit, Dedede, Sonic, Toon Link, Meta Knight, Cap. Falcon, Ike, and Mega Man all pre-ordered over here.

Thank god. Not sure if I'll hold onto Dedede or Meta Knight. Depends on what they end up being worth. It'd be nice to sell 'em and pay off the entire batch.
 
I got all of wave 3 pre-ordered except Lucario :/ My toys r us didn't have the cards. Just missing the big 3, Captain Falcon and wave 3. Little Mac and Diddy have shipped (allegedly) from Toys R Us and Pit is pre-ordered.
 
TRU sale is kind of annoying online...

Only limited to 1 discount per order, then some have an $8 shipping charge. Selecting in store pickup doesn't work if they have no stock either :(

$26 for Villager seems perfectly reasonable actually.
 
This is why I went ahead and picked up all of the "commons" the other day. No matter how you look at it, things are getting ransacked even at the base level because of our friggen mysterious NA shipment problem.

Something is borked up with our restocking.

Edit: Also, fun trip to my local Walmart the other day, they have an "Amiibo section". I put it in quotes because there is literally none there. There are no pegs, no price tags, nothing except a sign that says Amiibo. There is no display case/tv set up like you see in other Walmart pictures. I'm not sure if my walmart is just lazy or if they are doing something more malicious with their stock. If they were sold out I expect ATLEAST some pegs. I also am remiss to think that they sold out of every single one, including mario/peach/etc.

This is the Walmart in Germantown, MD btw.

Double Edit: Oh and one more thing, if you have an FYE (or Suncoast) nearby, I got a lot of commons there. I have their rewards card (costs a small yearly membership) and was able to get the majority of my Amiibos for ~11.50 a piece instead of 12.99. They had a pretty good stock but had no wave 2 of any kind come in yet. I don't think many people think to look in a place like that.
 
I get them for about $10 with that membership so its a little easier to justify.. Lol.


I winder if Nintendo had made the amiibos scannable in package but told retailers that there were no returns on them if the scalping situation would be lessened.

But then there's 3ds and amiibos.

Friend at Walmart said they never got any of the wave 2 figures in, and aren't showing as any arriving anytime soon.. Guessing there were delays?
 
Are you all buying these Amiibo to keep them in the box forever, or do you really use them? I still haven't decide if I should open my Amiibo..

I opened the Link gifted to me, and Samus I bought. Fit, Villager and Marth I'm keeping (though I have two of each so will likely open them), and I'll do the same for the ones I've preordered: keep in box until I can find/afford doubles.

Heh yeah, between Amiibos and Christmas presents for everyone this year, I think I've picked up about 500 in charges to my credit card. Good thing my bonus comes in tomorrow's check! XD

Man you and everyone else who hasn't should really get Best Buy's Gamers Club. Figures drop down to about $10.40 plus tax and if you got in on the B2G1, they drop even further down to $7.50 a figure. You'll save so much more money.

Thanks for the possible scoop, man... that would be cool if it works out. I saw your earlier posts this morning while I was half-asleep in bed checking my phone (as a full-fledged Early Morning AmiiboGAF member), but I was too groggy to actually chime in then and join you :-)

It is part of the 99.99 gamers club unlocked that many of us got in on about a month ago for $6-15 due to a weird cell phone discount thing. I got 6 yrs for 25 bucks! Hehe
