I must say, I do enjoy the rush of walking into a store hoping to find some new amiibos. Just a shame it usually ends in crushing disappointment.
 
Just got back from the city
Bought:
Kirby (Who is hard to find here for some reason...)
Zelda , Little Mac , Captain Falcon and Pit

Sadly. Just found out three of them have packaging with some weird security thing that can't be removed without damaging the packaging.
Don't know what that store was thinking...
Might bring them back if I find those three at another store.

Besides, how many of us are really buying these to not display them? They look so much better opened than they do in the packaging.

I own all the wave 1 and most the wave 2 and the only ones I've opened are the ones my niece wanted to open (which is like 7 of them so far -thankfully she has no interest in my marth!). Generally I keep them packaged because I'm just weird and collectory about that. It's no less fun to me leaving them packaged.
 
Instantly ordered Little Mac on amazon just now.

Best Buy and everywhere else have fuck all when it comes to him. Thank you based Amazon.

To be clear, they aren't AR cards, they're just cards with the NFC chip embedded. Cheaper to manufacture and don't take up much retail shelf space.

Thank god! I want all the functionality, but I don't have the space for all the figures!

Hopefully they will be priced considerably cheaper!
 
Got a Falcon at Target in Pensacola, FL (one of two out on the shelves). They seem to be popping up in Targets around here, so if you're in the area, keep looking. No idea where/when Pit might show up, though.
 
Said fuck it and decided to import everything I'm currently missing (Marth,Villager from Japan), know I'll miss (Pit and Diddy from Japan), including preorders from Meta Knight (Japan) and Rosalina plus Lucario (from Germany).

Everything from wave 3 was preordered through Gamestop's in-store pick up.

Now, to not worry about going to stores every day...and to worry about any cancellation email. XD

Christmas gifts of sort I guess.
 
One day I will get my lunch hour back for actual lunch. Until then Captain Chuck Amiibo Tracker is in full effect.

Target - No.
2 Gamestops No, 1 maybe after 4. All Annapolis.
 
best buy at my area has nothing and sold out online.....man all of these are very hard to get. People are buying multiples need to chill out and let others get at least ONE.
 
Went ahead and ordered Rosalina from France. A bit of a markup but not as outrageous as what the secondary market is going to try and get for them. Lucario I will head to my TRU this weekend and see if they have the pre-order slips. If not, I have a friend that works at a TRU so I'll have him hold one for me.

I got a tip on here about capt falcon in Springfield VA target. I called and asked for one to be held, we'll see if I get it. They got four in and someone bought the other three between the half hour when I called and when I got here... Hopefully it was a gaffer and not a scalper.

So the dude put it away for me and went on break and his coworker came and probably sold them all to his buddies. The manager is going to call me when more come in... :(

Been on hold with the Target in Silver Spring, MD for 15 mins while this woman looks. I wonder if she's fighting people. XD

Edit: 15 mins then "Hi, you were looking for a movie...?"

Me: NO AMIIBO

Them: "What was the number again? *gets it* Hold on..."

Back on hold. Holy shit these people/.

So my Best Buy didnt have Little Mac in today even though I got email to pick it up. Guy told me they are only receiving one which is my pre order. He said itll be there on xmas eve. He is working that day and told me to ask for him when I call to make sure its there which is cool. Damn this amiibo thing is a disaster. Gamestop better have my Captain Falcon I pre-ordered.

Edit: thank you so much person who posted Little Mac on Amazon. My Best Buy pre-order can fuck right off.

WTF? They didn't cancel yours? Mine got canceled last night. I'm really pissed now that they're filling in backorders.

I just received one of the 4 villagers i ordered just when they where about to sell out, no word on the other 3 but they are still not cancelled...
 
Cpt. Falcon popping up in Virginia. Charlottesville had 4, wiped out by one guy. One closer to my family apparently got a shipment with him as well, but can't find them and will call me back. Which is nerve-racking.

No Pits to be seen but that's not a shock.

The cville best buy never seems to have jack shit in terms of stock.
 
AlabamaGAF reporting in. On the hunt for a Little Mac. So far all I have seen of wave 2 is one Diddy and countless Zelda. No WFT, Villager, or Marth.

Link is blocked at work but I just got off the phone with a TRU rep. My order for Luigi was originally cancelled but ended up shipping. The rep said orders that were cancelled may actually still be active and that the computer glitched up. I wonder if other TRU orders outside of amiibos actually experienced the same problem. She says TRU will send a follow up email regarding this mess once resolved.

BTW guys, please continue to post where you are reporting from. It is very helpful, thanks!
