I just bought off toys r us and got pit ,little mac ,diddy kong ,and lucario. With the sale it made pit 3.99. What is up with captain falcon? Anywhere to buy him? And are these release dates legit? Luighi zelda pit diddy kong and little mac say dec 19th
 
I want to get a clarification on Amiibo in the game.

Do Amiibo actually learning techs and combats from the players? Or is it based on level that you are unlocking for Amiibo?

I noticed that level 1 Amiibo wouldn't pick up items until they hit level 2. I'm trying to figure out if I should put all 8 Amiibo in a battle and fight each other to racking up levels and items. Or Should I not?

Edited: I kept hearing different things from people so I don't know who is right or not.
 
My Amiibo was beating me by like 10 stock, so I backed out lol. I atleast learned to dodge, but now I need to learn how to actually hit the bugger and sword dual.

I can confirm that my Lvl. 50 Pikachu is very honorable and never taunts after a KO (I don't do it).

A friend have a Lvl. 50 Samus and a Lvl. 50 Link, and both of them taunts after KO's (he does that). And both of them picked up his habits of always starting a battle charging a beam and arrow, respectively.

I don't know if all Samus and Link amiibos do that.

Is it possible that I can reset the amiibo levels just for experiment sake?
 
I'm gonna be pissed if I can't get Marth, Villager, and WFT, but I'm not paying scalper prices for them either...MSRP is expensive enough

guess this is where I'll be getting the so-called store exclusives from.
Amazon UK just need to get Rosalina up

got Meta Knight, Shulk and Lucario pre-ordered
(no option to shop at GameStop, BestBuy and Toys R Us for me...)

EDIT - i'm blind. Rosalina ORDERED

EDIT2 - do the UK and US Amiibo have different packaging?

They will likely be back, I can't see Nintendo putting any of the Series 1 figures out of print until at least 2016.

"Supported" meaning they'll unlock what appears to be mostly cosmetic things (unless I'm mistaken). Either way, they're not going to have data saved to the figure because only one game can use it at a time. Not worth it unless you just want some figures, imo.
 
I'm interested in three characters in Wave 2, but a bucketload in Wave 3. I'm even hoping -- well not really, but I'm conflicted -- that the "human" characters in both waves have bad faces like Marth. Still, I'd be soooo happy if Little Mac and Ike got good faces.

If you can't afford getting them all when they come out in waves, then getting them all in the first place isn't a very good idea. That's just my opinion though, it's your money in the end.
 
Happened to be driving by a relatively out there Walmart and found a ton of Wii Fit Trainers there. Thinking that may be the way to find the harder to get ones- go to places that aren't going to have a ton of foot traffic where people are looking for them.

Tempted to plot some on a map and see where they lead me.

Maybe I'm answering my own question but I just want to know cause with the shortage of WFT/Marth/Killager here in the States, no one seems to really be discussing having the harder to find ones imported to increase their chances and vice versa, and I notice Amazon.uk has Meta Knight, Rosalina and Lucario for pre-order while here they're divided up into exclusive retailers.

I'm getting the 4 US retailer exclusives from Amazon UK so I don't have to deal with that mess
 
WIP...since it's 4AM it's time to sleep lol

I think the blue is not the right shade but kinda lazy, I'll see what spots I need to fix when it dries before I decide if I should coat it with a different shade.

Is there really an "official" release date?

For the first wave in Europe, they mostly broke the initial release date of november 28th (some shops only put them in sale the 28th, but I saw a commercial saying they were available "right now" on the 25th, and indeed, I saw them already available the 26th at least)

I expect them to ship them near the beginning of next week in the US (and the following week in Europe) and to see them in shops as soon as they arrive.

Which bothers me (I don't have much time for Amiibo hunting ^_^ )
 
So I know it's a long shot, but... has anyone figured out a way to scan the figurines without opening them? Somehow bypassing that little aluminium strip? Whether it be holding the packet sideways, upside down, shaking it, or doing some other sort of wizardry?

I really want to use mine but don't wanna open them...

Given how well they're selling, they'll do re-runs for sure. Otherwise they're just leaving money on the table.

So it's probably best you just buy what you can and then wait to get any leftovers you can't afford later on if your situation is as you say.
 
Wave 3 is friggin ridiculous, like I say to my GF its easier telling you which couple I don't want lol (and even then, I want them eventually).

So many must haves.

I'm sooo really feeling it.
 
So it seems all retailers have updated their dates for Wave 2

Zelda, Diddy and Little Mac - Friday December 12

Captain Falcon, Pit and Luigi - Still December 31, 2014

I wonder if the last 3 will be delayed to 2015?

It would be nice if Nintendo could make a damn announcement...
