Ok with the Marth and villager debacle I have pre-ordered all of wave 2 from Best Buy with the exception of Diddy Kong who was sold out. I got him from Target.

I'm still on the hunt for Marth and Villager.

Here he's shipping tomorrow for release on Friday. He's already been taken off EB and Mighty Ape websites though, while the others are still up for preorder. I think Falcon is gone from EB but still at Mighty Ape. Both seem to be up at JB. I expect to see some in store on Friday but probably in smaller numbers than the rest.

Anyone know the release date for wave 2 in Europe?

It was said to be 19th, but since the wave 1 release date (28th?) has been broken, and Nintendo ads was saying "available right now" three days before the initial date...
 
Given the statement from Nintendo UK about the Wii U Gamecube adapters being in the process of reshipment, should we start calming down about the chaos that is snagging every Amiibo before the leeches of society known as scalpers show up?

Oh no. The freak out is justified. Those scalpers well sang your happiness and hold it hostage for a price that is super inflated and you'll kick yourself in the pants for not getting one sooner.
 
Miyamoto, which has a pretty big role in the new Star Fox game, seems pretty keen on Star Fox Amiibo. If he wants something, he usually gets it, so I wonder what Amiibo functionality Star Fox U will have. Will there be another Fox Amiibo? Or maybe an Arwing Amiibo?
Edit: Also, this is the Amiibo OT right? Maybe we can get an OT in the title?

been barking up that tree for years now with Skylanders.

Them and TRU both ship anything that fits in a smaller bubble envelope, so if anyone preordered Lucario and intends to keep it in the box, you'll definitely be getting a smushed one in the mail.
Speaking of TRU, the best one was still when an Adventure Pack (the larger playset things for Skylanders) got so damaged in the mail that they actually had to discard it. It had to have been super mangled. I was lucky my cousin saved one at our TRU for me..although I'd have liked another since it had Sparx the Dragonfly in it and I could have made a custom.

I have seen on occasion them shipping out in boxes, but its usually pretty rare.
 
So anyone know how i can help my Amiibos learn how to move around better across platforms and stuff?

Trying to teach my Pikachu but not really sure how, he moves stupidly.

this bubble has to break, right?

how stupid will someone who paid $100 for math or that much for villager feel (these are $80 - $100 all day long lately) if there are new marths/villagers in the second shipment.
 
So is there any difference between the Japanese amiibos and the US ones? I'd rather just pay less for the WFT, Marth and Villager if they are usable just like the US ones.

Yea, I expected them to be valuable but nothing like this. It's getting crazy. If some of the Wave 2's end up this hard to find I have a feeling prices will rise even faster as people snatch them up much quicker this time. Already have Zelds, Pit, Lil Mac, and Cap Falcon pre-ordered. Since Diddy Kong is not available to pre-order I plan on snatching him and Luigi up on release day.

Still have a few to go on Wave 1 but have the hard to find trio. It seems there is a second tier group that isn't hard to find yet, but may be very soon. Will be i teresting to see which ones stop receiving shipments as Wave 2 releases. Glad my plan to save Mario, and the more popular characters, till I had the lesser known characters.
 
I caved in and paid for my first Amiibo. Pre ordered Shulk. Really not too bothered about the in han game uses for now. It just looks cool, and something I can put on my desk.

25$ for an amiibo? Also low stock
Order from Australia!

I haven't preordered any. I'm just going to the nearest Target when they open and get as much. If I miss out on anything, I'll spend the rest of the day hunting it down.

They're $22 here mostly. Doubt I could get it shipped here for under that.
 
Link and Fox are here. I have Marth coming from Japan. Got my preorders in for Little Mac, Ike, Toon Link, Sheik, Shulk, and Captain Falcon through GameStop. I think I'm done...for now.
 
Just preordered a Meta Knight amiibo and will probably do the same for Shulk soon. Target doesn't seem to have the Rosalina one up yet...?

Toys R Us says the Villager amiibo I ordered is on backorder and I'm wondering if they'll go through with that...

Edit: Just checked their website and it seems that amiibo's been removed from the site entirely. Acckkkkkkk!!!

None as far as I know. They're region free. Just in slightly different packaging. If only Nintendo was like this with their consoles and store content. Region free Nintendo would be delicious. They'd just need language patches.
 
You know It really sucks EBgames Canada won't let me pre-order any amiibo. How am I going to be able to get Shulk without scalpers showing up and ruining everyone's wallets?
 
Best Buy AND ToysRUs have horrific shipping practices??

Dang it! I had to order Meta Knight through the mail from Best Buy and Lucario through the mail from ToysRUs! These are for collection purposes!!!

Think they'll send them in boxes if I ordered more than one of each...?

Reading my receipt, it seems I can get a refund as it is faulty and not down to me, but i'm not sure if I want to as Samus is rare around here kinda I think and her lean ain't so bad.

I'm almost tempted to go pick up the Marth I found at a thrift store to sell it on eBay, but I'm not sure if the going prices will stick (Or even if they do, if someone will pay that much.)

For you Skylanders/Infinity collectors out there, do previously rare figures ever drop down dramatically in price? Don't want to jump into a market I only vaguely know about.
 
My dad is currently in Japan right now. And he just sent me a pic from Japan of him in a Best Buy like store. They had loads of Marth and Villager amiibos for sale.

Wait -- how did I miss that Rosalina was Target-bound? All the articles I looked up were dated Nov. 23-24. Man. That's gonna be hard to find.

Went hunting for Villager and Marth today. Didn't find a single one but I did pick up a lone Wii Fit Trainer at a Target! Only one I've seen yet so I grabbed it. She looks pretty good. I must have gone to 8 places (mainly different Target, Best Buy, GameStop, TRU, etc.) and not a one. Three of them told me they were either discontinued and I was out of luck or that they didn't come out yet.

My brother recently moved to California so I'll see how he does there but I've been considering importing one since they're not region locked.
 
Got a Fox amiibo a few days back, my first one...

Until today, when I snagged a Kirby, Villager and Marth from Gameseek, grabbed a Samus from Amazon and a Peach from Nintendo's online store.

Also have a Wii Fit Trainer coming from Nippon Yasan along with a JP New 3DS, my brother is selling me one of his Pikachus, and my mum grabbed a Yoshi, Link and Donkey Kong for me.

Dammit, Nintendo.
